Unfortunately, my experience with an employee named James was extremely disappointing. When I asked James for help, he was rude, dismissive, and told me he couldn’t help me and that I needed to have the other employee, Kenneth, assist me instead. James then told Kenneth to maintain the store because he needed to leave to take his wife somewhere and buy food for his kids. He walked out the door, got into a Subaru, and left the parking lot, saying he would be back. As a customer, I found James’s behavior and complete lack of customer service extremely unprofessional. I came into the store for assistance, not to be dismissed and passed off to someone else. I struggle to give this location even one star because of the way James treated me. Thankfully, Kenneth was the complete opposite. He was professional, respectful, helpful, and took the time to assist me with everything I needed. Kenneth provided the level of customer service that customers should be able to expect when visiting a business. Management should recognize Kenneth for his professionalism and excellent customer service. Unfortunately, James’s rude and dismissive behavior completely overshadowed my experience and is the reason for this one-star review.

He has gone above and beyond helping me find the parts I need and he has always come through regardless of how far he has to go to get what I need. He always helps me to purchase the extra things I need that I may not have known about. I will drive an hour to Lawrence before I go anywhere else. Thank you James.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
