    We scheduled pick up for 9 a.m. Saturday morning. I booked the car a week in advanced, and chose the earliest pick up so we could start our 16 hour drive as soon as possible. We arrived to our appointment to find out they hard zero vehicles for their 13 reservations for that day. 13 people that they were screwing over. They close at noon on Saturdays and aren't open on Sundays. Pretty much, we were told we were out of luck unless a car magically appears in the 3 hours before close. We had reservations in place for our vacation that were booked 6 months in advance, and past the 24 hour prior cancelation for a refund. So we would be out all that money because we trusted in this company for a car rental. What really upsets me, is that they knew the day prior that they didn't have any rentals for the next day's reservations and couldn't give us an adequate notice. After spending 3.5 hours scrambling to figure out another option, we got a call that a car was returned. The only reason I gave them 2 Stars instead of 1, when really this company deserves zero, is because the guy working got the car cleaned up and ready for us after they closed. We made it to our vacation, but was put almost 5 hours behind that ate into the first day of our vacation.

    I’m stranded in Emporia due to Enterprise’s failure to provide a reserved car. I have to be in Kansas City for a flight & there are no other rental companies open in Emporia. They all close at 12pm. a reservation for a car this morning at 9am. The agent called & said they left me a message, but there was no message. I arrived at 9:15 after having to wait for cyclists to clear due to Unbound. The agent told me there were only 2 returns yesterday & they had issues for which the cars could not be rented. 3 of us had reservations at 9am & another 10 later in the day. They assured me that they would call me when they had a return. They called me to say a car that had been smoked in that had ashes was available. I refused the vehicle. I did not hear from the agent again. I called before the location closed & got voicemail. I called again shortly after the closed & got voicemail. About :10 afterwards I called customer service. Spoke with an agent who worked my ticket in & said management would call me in :20. After :23 no call from management, so I called customer service again & was sent to escalation. Was told I would hear as soon as possible about getting a vehicle to me. As soon as possible is not what I was promised in my 9am reservation nor is it an acceptable response when Kansas City is less than 2 hours away. It’s 2 hours since the Emporia location closed & certainly there is 1 vehicle in the Kansas City area. Emporia Tourism can you help me!!!

    Showed up to get our rental car this morning only to be informed that there was no rental for us. They use the excuse that there was no phone number on file to contact us which was a bunch of bullshit. We were physically at the location yesterday to double check and confirm the reservation. There was no compensation offered or even any alternatives or help offered. Just left stranded. With a smug "sorry" We are now left scrambling to find a car to continue on our time restricted travels. Will never use/rely on this company again and suggest you do the same if you value your time and reliability.

    Put in a reservation 2 days prior for Noon. Got to the location to pick up my rental at 12:45. No rental available and there wouldn't be one until 3-3:30. Missed a work event that evening that I was supposed to be at 5 and a half hours away. That was set for 7PM. Was very frustrated, irritated, and very disappointed. The rental was great. Clean, ran well, great milage. Full glass when I got it.

    Not really sure how to feel about this and it's why I'm giving 3 stars. Mixed emotions here. Yes, I did complete my reservation 1 day prior to needing the rental, but before that I hadn't the need. I arrived before the doors opened at 8am having made my reservation for 9am to ensure I was extra prompt allowing for any surprises. After Sam (mgr) assisted 2 other customers with their rentals he proceeded to explain to me that he didnt have any vehicles left to supply me with my reservation. He told me that he had 12 people besides me that he needed to rent to also and he only had 2 minivans left on the lot available. This was after he said he didnt have anything. I had reserved a full-sized pickup but he told me that he NEVER gets trucks there so it wasn't going to happen either way. Now what makes me upset is that I'm obviously there to rent a vehicle right? Instead of telling me there's no vehicles at all and offer me one of the minivans you do have there to try to get me on my way, you tell me that you can see if nobody else comes to rent either van that I guess you're saving for someone I have no idea. Im there..rent me what you have. Why should I have to wait when I am in front of you??? Not good business Sam. He could have even offered to try to find a rental at another location but instead gave me a business card for a man who gives taxi rides out of town for an outrageous fee. Hey Sam, when you see this how bout you make this right and credit me with a rental of my choice to rectify the situation. You have my information and I would appreciate you reaching out to make things right.
