  I have been a customer of CarX in West Lafayette for several years, and I can confidently say they provide outstanding service every time. Over the years, I have brought in three different vehicles (Sienna, PT Cruiser & Sonata) and regardless of the make, model, or mechanical issue, the team has always delivered prompt, professional, and reliable service. What I appreciate most is their consistency. Whether it’s routine maintenance or a more complex repair, they take the time to explain the issue, recommend the best solution, and complete the work efficiently. I have never had any problems with the repairs or services performed. A special thank you to Scottie, who is absolutely amazing. Scottie is knowledgeable, professional, honest, and genuinely cares about customers. His excellent customer service and attention to detail are a big reason I keep coming back. If you’re looking for a trustworthy auto shop in West Lafayette (especially Us ladies and Purdue students), I highly recommend CarX. They’ve earned my confidence and business year after year.

  Very rude staff. Guy in a big red/brown beard and blue eyes, pretty sure he made fun of me as I was leaving their shop. Why? I don't know.. Heard him laugh loudly as I left.

  Abrasive Staff & Call Center Confusion Called in this morning to check in about an oil change and was connected with the call center that let me know they had a 10:30 am drop off time available, which I booked. When I arrived to CarX, I was greeted in a negative, abbrasive manner by the front desk attendant, who told me that he could do nothing for me today, I did not speak to anyone at this location, the call center doesn't book for them (???), and I would have to come back later/another day. I explained I had just called the phone number listed (call center) and thought I was booked. The front desk person kept rudely telling me he could do nothing for me today and kept stating I spoke to no one at the location so I didn't have any booking. I then told the attendant I wanted to pause the conversation because I didn't appreciate how he was talking to me, and I was just trying to get clear information. After some more back and forth rudeness, I told the attendant to have a good day, and left the store. I was probably in the store for less than two minutes, but it was enough to know I won't use this location again for my car needs if this is how the staff wants to talk with customers. I've used this location for years, but after a staff change in the last year or two and a decline in service, I'm not sure Car-X values customers & quality care. (Update 5/28/26)-Per the reply, I called that number on 5/14, got bounced around until I ended up chatting with a customer service agent who said she would "pass my concerns up the chain". I once again asked for the supervisor/manager/owner of this location to call me. As of 5/28/26, I have yet to receive a call.
