  Make sure if u buy a camper to check hookups to the ball hitch or stabilizer. I don't think half these people know what they are doing. We got home after buying our camper on a rainy day and one stabilizer bar was hanging and the receiver hitch was missing the cotter pin. We just got to the campground and the box of goodies that came with our camper for surge protection is all for 30amp campers. Our camper is 50 amp and none of them adapt. So now we're fighting to find a Surge Protector for our camper. Make sure if they give u a run thru of the campers functions to either video tape the person doing it or write it down.

  Camping World, Richmond is the worst place i have ever dealt with! They have wasted a whole week of my time. They did the finance application and we talked about the payment. They ACTED like they wanted to help us find a good fit with a payment we were comfortable with. I stayed on their website trying to find something. Every time I found one we liked; there was an issue. Either a deal started pending at the exact same time we put a $1,000 deposit down; it was a consignment and couldn't be shipped here or something else. I finally found SEVERAL, asked him to let me know which ones were available; BUT got a response of "Any chance you could knock that down to your top 5? We only have one manager in today and he’s super busy". My whole week was screwed but okay. I sent the first couple and he said he would get started on the first one right away. He was WELL aware of the deposit amount and the payment we were comfortable with. He gets the proposal and the payment is almost double of what we talked about. He then told me that we would probably need a co-signor. AFTER A WEEK OF THIS! Then I suggested a cheaper one that could be fixed up. He was all gung-ho so I found a few. I then spoke with our bank and had no problem getting a loan for 20k. I asked if he could send me the ones available up to 25k. After I told him we got the financing; he asked if the 20k would be the down payment and finance the balance. I said no, just send me what you have up to 25k. Only 18 minutes after getting off the phone; I received a text saying "I’ve been doing some checking, there’s nothing that we would be able to get here for under 20k". Hard to believe he had time to get to his desk in 18 minutes, let alone check. As soon as I wasn't going to spend double or get financing through them; we were dropped like a hot potato and they were done with us. Wasted a week to get dropped by trying to pay cash after obtaining our own financing. Hard to believe they couldn't get anything here when there is at least 3 that have EVERYTHING we were looking for pretty much and didn't even take the time to find something that might not be exact but fits a multitude of what we wanted. Don't waste your time!

  Had a terrible experience. I was told I was approved up to a certain amount my credit and down payment I could get into a camper no problem at all drove for two hours to be told they can’t do nothing because the only thing on my credit is my truck…wasted my time and money and clearly lied to me. Don’t do business with this place. I clearly dodge a bullet as 4 other rv sales places had no issues at all approving me so looks like I’ll be using one of them. Fyi I’m pretty sure they are just setting people up and probley stealing and selling their information that’s why they want a id at the door. Don’t waste your time all those ads you see are fake don’t think your getting out of there eith a 100$ payment.

  Horrible Place. I found several travel trailers online that I liked...went through their online pre-approval process...got approved. Called them and asked about how much for down payment and everything. Drove over an hour on the way there... Looked at the camper I was wanting online...they had it in the show room. The sink was cracked and poorly repaired with grey jb weld (White sink), ceiling vent cover was damaged, Counter had a chunk missing from it and they JB welded that too! It had a lot of issues too so I had them show me another trailer I was looking at...a small single axel Jayco Micro trailer that was listed online for $22,000 with payments around $174 a month. I told him we wanted it and he came to me with an offer sheet...I instantly noticed that the pricing and everything was way off and not right. I made sure to look it over and make sure the stock number and description were correct which they were but the pricing was all wrong...They marked up the trailer to 28,000 and was trying to get me to pay almost $500 a month for this used 4 year old single axel trailer...I told him that is not right and their must be a mistake...he looked it over and goes "oh...they gave me the wrong offer, this is a different trailer" (which it wasn't!). He walked back to the office and came back 5 minutes later with another offer sheet and the numbers where still all wrong...no where near what the website mentioned...I told them again it is wrong...the monthly payments should not be around $500 a month. He said he would have his manager work over the numbers and then come back. After another 10 minutes he walks back over with the same price and raised the down payment to $8000!... said that would get me down to the 274 a month range...I told him that they were trying to rip me off because nothing matched what they had online...they must get commission off sales because they were definably trying to take advantage of me and milk me for every dollar! I got up to leave and the salesman (a typical sleazy salesmen) followed me on my way out while we talked and then he introduced me to his "Manager"....This guy has no clue how to manage a business or estimates for that matter. Whoever they have over at this location doing their financing is a thief...They are false advertising and lying to you in order to get you to walk through the door...and then they try to mark up everything as much as they can. They care about sales and money only...not the customer or selling rv's or travel trailers. Their Loss....I told the guys over at Forest River RV sales in Piqua, OH what this Camper World location did to me and they sold me a trailer double the size...brand new...for less than they tried to sell me the other small trailer for and gave me a bunch of free gear and stuff for my travel trailer. They did not want this location giving Camper World a bad reputation. Do not go here...Go to Forrest River RV if you want a trailer or RV... They are not thieves or liars and actually care about the customer.

  I'd like to first start by listing the things we liked. Dan seemed like a nice guy and we have no complaints on him. Also, the guy in the parts place was awesome, not sure of his name but he was an older gentleman and was awesome. We came on 6/8 to Camping World to look at getting a camper. We ended up back there on 6/09 after getting pre-approved and deciding what exactly we wanted and our price range. We were shown a few camper by Kobe and finally settled on a 2025 Coleman Lantern. We went back and finalized everything on 6/10. We had decided not to get the Let's Go Camping Package to save some money and thats when the trouble started. They didn't let us check the camper out and I guess expected us to let them hook it up and us drive off until we asked to look it over. They seem offended and said it was because we hadn't purchased the package but we wanted to look it over not have them do it. We finally left after what seemed like all day amd got it parked. The next morning, we went to open it up and the battery was dead so we had to make another 2 hour round trip back to get a replacement. One of the light covers was missing, the sink plumbing in the kitchen wasn't connected, the coax cable on the TV was broken, and the unit was advertised as a 30 amp but is a 50 amp. None of which are deal breakers, however, it seems extremely unprofessional to do business this way. They try and get every single penny they can out of you they can and when you push back they treat you poorly. We are happy with our camper but do wish we had went to a different location. If you're shopping for a camper try a different location.
