I needed emergency tire repair/ replacement and actually went to Big O first since it was the closest to where I was when I discovered I had a flat, where I was rudely turned away by the man leaning on the big o desk scrolling away on his phone. He could've said they were booked and left it at that, but he added what I'm sure he thought sounded like smart, funny comments, and laughed at me when i said i had a flat and needed a tire. He lost a customer for big o and gave one to tire barn, where now I'll continue to be a customer because of how polite the employees were, and having a tire swapped so quickly. The fact it didn't cost me an arm and a leg sure helps as well.
I'll choose tire barn again in the future because the assistant manager, the repair man in the garage and lady at the desk were all polite, kind, and spoke to me like a human with respect and some sense. They didn't automatically assume i was just some dumb girl who didn't know anything about vehicles or tire issues, they weren't snobby or rude, and they weren't trying to rush me, or push me into anything, ALL of which is rare these days for any shop, tire, mechanic or otherwise. They were great and my tire was changed quickly.
I'm experienced and knowledgeable especially with older Chevy& GM vehicles. You name it, I've worked on it, and I mean motors, transmissions, alternators, carbs, brakes, body work, all of it, so when I get talked down to, and treated rudely or like I'm just a stupid girl, (like i was treated at big o new castle), I'm gonna talk about it, and never spend my money there. Avoid Big o if you want to be treated with respect and not get laughed at when you say you have a flat and need a tire.
If you want to deal with polite people who treat you right and don't try to rush you or push you into buying anything you don't need, Tire Barn is where to go.
Tire barn saved the day for me, started working on it immediately, got me back on the road in well under an hour, with a new low profile tire under warranty for 3 years for about 120 and some change including labor. Can't beat that, especially for it being a last minute, without any warning, flat tire emergency walk in. The old tire they swapped out had multiple holes, on top of having quite a few miles on it anyway, so I needed another. It's a newer car, or I'd buy a used tire as i always used to, but it actually wasn't that much for a new one.
Thank you employees of tire barn for getting me rolling again fast when others rudely turned me away. I appreciate it very much. I'll be back when I need more tires. You'll have our business for all future tire needs.
