- GTGravy Train2 days ago5.0I need to take just a couple minutes to talk about my experience at the advanced auto store on Tillison Avenue in Muncie, Indiana. I was in Muncie to help my aunt clean up after the historic flooding that took place, While I was there, of course my truck had a few issues that I needed help with because of the year my truck was built. There’s some oddball parts on the thing they have some 2016 parts some 2017 parts and some 2018 parts which makes it difficult to figure out what I need For the identical parts needed to do any repairs. This is not an easy task and often I run into issues with sales people getting frustrated and not understanding what I’m going through myself. Zach and the team at the Tilletts in advanced Auto did their very best to help me get the parts I needed. It was a two day process and come to find out that I can’t even order the parts I need from the manufacturer any longer. However, because this team went above and beyond out of their way to help me, try to get my truck fixed before getting back on the road to Tennessee advanced Auto has earned a customer for life. If this is how they treat me some random stranger from out of state in a time of need and understanding this team all needs raises and I highly recommend that if you need any kind of specialized help in tracking down a car part a truck part or just buying your standard oil change kit take the time to shop with Zack and his team at advanced Auto Tillson. You will not regret the Customer Service in a time when Customer Service service is all forgotten and the value of the money you’re spending means nothing to most cashiers and employees. This is the place to be. They know exactly how to treat their customers while I was there. Drove straight to AAP and he ran the free diagnostic test, it was just a battery issue. We replaced the battery and he had me drive on the battery for a second diagnostic test. All came back with a green light concerning the battery, starter and most importantly the alternator saving me from a fraudulent repair quote of over $1,000+ A sincere thank you to Zachary S. for assessing, solving the problem and confirming that my intuition was right. Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward.
