  I dropped off a rental car at this location during a weekend I had some unfortunate car troubles while I was traveling out of state. The staff was very professional and friendly, and they helped to make an otherwise stressful time much easier for me. Special shoutout to Camille (sorry if I spelled that wrong!) for giving me a ride to pick up my car at the shop a couple miles away. I really appreciated my experience here, and would come back again if I were in town and needed a car.

  The car pick-up and review of my contract terms and conditions was quick and thorough. Upon my car return, there were no surprises to my bill and it also went quick and efficient. All staff were friendly and professional. Well done!

  Vehicle wasn't properly serviced or detailed in between rentals. Reservation's shouldn't be allowed if vehicles haven't returned to office the previous day to allow for proper cleaning of vehicles. 8 passenger Grand wagoneer was filthy and poorly maintained. It was almost 12,000 mi over for an oil change. When brakes were applied the brake shuttered meaning they vibrated. Knowing that this is a premium vehicle, this is sad that it was such poor maintenance. The manager at the location did her best to make me happy in such a short time, but the fact that this is best practice for Enterprise. Company policy needs to change. This is not a location problem. This is a corporate issue. When you value dollars more than the maintenance of your vehicle.

  The Merrillville Location is always busy. My family has been a customer here for the last 15 years. In an effort to save time, my daughter, a busy corporate employee attempted to rent a vehicle through her company’s car rental portal, at the Enterprise located in Crown Point. When I drove her to pick up the vehicle, she was told her reservation could not be verified because it was rented through a third party portal, and there were no cars available. We were offered no alternatives. After asking repeatedly was there something the rep could do, she called Merrillville, they had a vehicle. When we arrived at the Merrillville location the workers were all extremely busy, and the wait room was full,we had a bit of a wait, but they were able to accommodate us. If you are a corporate rental customer I would highly recommend the Merrillville Enterprise. Just be sure to allow about 20 to 30 minutes to pick up your vehicle. This location honors third party portal/corporate account rentals, perhaps that’s why they are always so busy.
