  We brought my wife's Jeep in to have the front end looked at in the Merrillville stoer. She had an appointment at 1pm on that day. They told us it would be about an hour to 1.5 hours and they would let us know. First problem with this place: At 4pm, we called them to see if anything had come up and we're told that the Jeep was not brought back yet. Why, if we have an appointment would it not have gone back...we dropped it off at 12pm to make sure it got back because she needed it for work the next day. So we head up there to ge the Jeep and reschedule because we needed it. We get there at 430/445pm and it is still in the same spot. They tell us they still have not gotten it back there. Well, out something some guy eating a sandwich and gets in her Jeep to pull it in. How dare him eat in a customer's vehicle. That is the second problem with them. I cannot believe you let your techs eat in someone's car. Not only rude but disgusting, and what if someone has allergies anf he's over there touching everything. Third issue: they didn't even have the car in back for 5 minutes. You cannot put a car on the rack, let alone do a check on alignment and suspension check in that time...and I busted your tech in a lie saying there was nothing wrong. Steer tires are cupping...there is an issue, I don't care what you say, and the fact a shock is leaking oil...I knew about when we brought it in, but that was on one side, im sure the other side is going to go soon. But the tech said nope, nothing wrong...in less than 5 minutes. He's a disgusting liar and for all he did. We will not be going back there again.

  I knew there wasn’t something right with this location. We went in for an oil change and they came back with a long list of things that was wrong with the car. We were going to take it in 2 weeks ago to get it fixed. I didn’t like the new price we were quoted so we started looking around at other places. I’m so glad we did! We had TWO different big name mechanics. We paid to get a thorough inspection inside, out, and underneath and BOTH places said there wasn’t anything wrong with the car other than the shocks and struts will need replaced in the next few months depending on how often it gets driven. I didn’t have a good feeling about them when we walked through the doors, but we were in a hurry so went ahead and got the oil change. Never again will I go to this location

  Well I liked going here until yesterday. I had an appointment at 1pm that I made over a week ago. I call at 410 and my vehicle wasnt even taken in the back yet. We got there at 442pm (they close at 5). Guy is walking finally to bring it in the back. 10 minutes later a guy comes out and says there is nothing wrong with anything and the reason my front tires are cupping is because they need to be rebalance... funny since there was oil running down my front shocks (which was easy to see against the white sticker)... real good inspection.... they didnt do anything because it was so close to closing time.... they just gave some BS story. The only reason i gave it 2 stars was i did get decent service before but im pretty much done with this place after what happened yesterday...

  "Completely unacceptable customer service and inventory handling at the Merrillville location. I came in to honor a warranty on a tire originally purchased from the Orland Park store, but staff initially claimed I wasn't in the system and tried to deny service by saying a nail was too close to the sidewall that I wasn't in the system I had to pay for the tire . I called Orland Park location ( night and day , completely nice and professional) and they saw me in the system with no problems and saw my warranty. Side note: To make matters worse, this location has a history of major mistakes—years ago, this same company in Merrillville, IN actually put the wrong size tire on my car, which I drove on for years before the Orland Park location finally caught it. When Orland Park cleared up the current system mix-up, Merrillville associate Aron told me a replacement tire exact brand would arrive by Monday from warehouse and there was one left. They had a different brand comparable can be in by tomorrow noon . I decided on comparable but called back an hour later to just wait for the exact same brand tire. When I called to confirm, the employee named **Aron** completely changed the story, claiming there was a '50-50 chance' it would arrive and arguing that 'if everyone does their job, if it gets pulled , if they have it, that's what happens.' When I pointed out he never mentioned a 50-50 chance initially, he became argumentative, gaslit me about what he had just said moments earlier, and told me 'that's how it is everywhere.' I asked him how and when would i know if it will there on MON? He said when they pull it . I asked him how do they know he said the warehouse emails them. So how when will I know ? Do i call sat morning ? All he said is they should receive an email sat. No no guidance there.To top it off, when I asked to speak to the manager, Erin refused, stating the manager was busy and didn't know when he would be available, completely brushing me off. Trying to get a valid warranty honored should not involve arguing with rude staff who take zero accountability. Extremely disappointed."

  Belle Tire in Merrillville is the gold standard for auto service. I am a corporate business professional and I travel frequently to Chicago. This week, I had an unexpected tire issue and stopped in as they were the closest shop. The assistant manager, Lyle, was so professional and kind. They were able to get my vehicle in, check the tires and get me back on the road within an hour. I will definitely go back there when I need new tires. Highly recommend and to the owner: you should promote Lyle and give him a raise!
