  Avoid Safelite. I just wanted a small spider crack repaired. They wanted to install new wipes and an air filter. When I mentioned that the repair still had visible cracks and didn’t look any different the immediate response was. “Well, we can schedule a replacement…”. I was the third customer. The technician said the first two couldn’t be repaired and had to be replaced. That should have been my first clue.

  DO NOT go to Safelite in Lafayette!!! They claim to have a lifetime warranty on glass installations, but they don't and will lie to you and treat you like you're an idiot trying to convince you that the huge crack in your windshield, barely one month after they installed it, was caused by a rock when it clearly wasn't. The crack started at the very bottom of the newly installed windshield and went almost all the way to the top of the windshield with NO VISIBLE EVIDENCE OF ROCK DAMAGE!!! They tried to show me a teeny tiny spot where they said a rock had hit it and told me it just spread from there. First of all, if a rock did hit it and based on what they tried to show me, the "rock" must have been the size of a grain of sand because there was NOTHING there. He even tried to convince me using some stupid light. I'm like, nope, still not seeing it. I'm sorry, but please DO NOT insult my intelligence, I am NOT an idiot. I know for a FACT that no rock hit my windshield. If a crack starts at the very bottom of the windshield and goes almost all the way to the top of the windshield with no visible rock damage, the damage was caused by faulty installation. I took my car to a different glass repair place in town, and they confirmed for me, before I even said anything about Safelite, that indeed, the crack was NOT caused by a rock but was caused faulty installation. In the end, Safelite DID NOT honor their lifetime warranty, and I will NEVER give them my business again and will convince everyone I know not to go there either. I will also be contacting my insurance company, who now has to pay for a second windshield unnecessarily, and let them know the situation and hopefully they won't use Safelite as an approved glass repair shop going forward. Go to Magic Glass in Lafayette instead. Super friendly, honest people who do great work, and they have the sweetest doggy mascot named Pinky, she's so sweet. 😊

  Steve was very pleasant, very polite, very knowledgeable. Steve worked efficiently and I believe thorough ! My windshield looks great ! I have confidence that Steve did his job to last for the period of Safelite’s warranties. So, I do not believe that Safelite will receive any further further questions from me about this windshield !
