  Replaced my rear brakes. Did a fine job. Good price. I won't hesitate to use them again.

  I dont see why this place has high reviews. I went there for maintenance checkup on May 2026 and the receptionist gave some BS that I didnt notice at the time, but realized once I went through a different mechanic. Example: they said my transmission fluid was fine. Went to a different mechanic and they showed me that it was black. Not metallic, but very dark. So I know the guys at American Automative that day were talking BS. In Reply to the owner's comment: Afaik (ofc this is subjective), I haven't been rude when I visited. I am only being negative on this review after gathering data and thinking about what happened. Point one: I indeed remember you said you "fixed" a bulb for free, but I dont see the bulb fixed on the part that the receptionist pointed to. Maybe you did, but I genuinely cannot verify that. Maybe sharing a photo next time would prevent this confusion (on something that I didnt even ask to be done). Point two: Maybe this was an issue of communication, but I asked specifically the receptionist how he knows that the fluid was fine. He specifically mentioned that the colour of the fluid was good. I am not an expert, but I cannot see how a black fluid is considered "good" here. Maybe there would be no confusion if there was a picture, leaving little room for subjective interpretation if whats "fine". (see attached for the photos of the ATF fluid in question) Point three: Lastly, I made it clear that I was happy to pay for the inspection, as other places (ie carX) do. Why would I not pay for a thorough and good service? If I was freeloading, that was due to the receptionist's insistance, not mine. All in all, I am sorry that I am being rude, but I believe it is necessary to make clear of my experience with you, which I certainly hope was an outlier, and not a whole representation of a normal experience. However, such anomalies still exist in life, and everyone must embrace it one way or another, and not stick it up to some bad customer.

  They did some work on my car and with some money down let me make payments. Well the work they did was above and beyond. My car is running better than when I bought it. I very highly recommend this place to everyone.

  They had the part for 3 days now and my car has been sitting there for over 3 weeks and I wasn't a priority on their end because warranty paid the majority of work and parts I checked on it Monday they said check back Tuesday then I checked back Tuesday they still haven't gotten bto it and to check back Wednesday so I checked back on Wednesday and they still haven't gotten to it and they will have it to me by end of day tomorrow which is Thursday I would have thought the car that's been there the longest should be the priority but it's not how is that good practiceand yes I got upset because I felt like I was being told two different stories peach time I called I get told it would be fixed by today and turned out it was never worked on you would be upset to do don't play it off like you wouldn't
