  I lost the a/c in my Penske tractor an hour outside of KC last week - during a brutal heatwave. The PTL in KC had me there for over 3 hours to determine there was nothing they could do to repair my a/c. They sent me away to drive 8 hours to Indianapolis in mid & upper-90's heat with no a/c. ("Air conditioning isn't a mandatory DOT repair.") When I finally got to the Indy PTL the next day (I tapped out in Crawfordsville at a Comfort Inn - I just couldn't drive another mile), I was greeted by Kris, a service supervisor & Keegan, a service tech. These two guys assured me they were going to get my air working again, one way or another. They didn't go the extra mile for me, they went an extra 500 miles! They diagnosed the issue, repaired it (in an amazing, ingenious manner), and sent me on my way with ice-cold a/c in about 2 hours. This Penske shop was exceptional BEFORE I met Kris & Keegan so, honestly, I wasn't all that surprised by their efforts & dedication to getting me back on the road again with a fully functional truck. Kris & Keegan, I can't thank you guys enough for what you did for me on Friday, the 3rd. You saved my ass & I'll sing your praises loud enough for even the jerks at the Kansas City PTL to hear. I appreciate you guys for having a heart that morning & doing an absolutely phenomenal job!

  Friday evening your road service tech came out to my location. He quickly found the problem, secured needed parts and repaired the truck I was driving. I believe his name is Darren. Thanks to him for saving the day.

  I waited approximately two hours for a resolution regarding deaf accommodation. During that time, there was no clear communication, no ownership of the issue, and no proactive effort to find a solution. When I first arrived, the employee at the pump stated they “didn’t have deaf” and appeared visibly irritated. When I asked why he seemed irritated, he responded that he thought I was irritated because the accommodation was not available. That assumption set an unprofessional tone from the start. Additionally, the manager, Brittney, was avoidant and did not demonstrate leadership or problem-solving during the situation. Rather than addressing the issue directly or offering alternatives, I was left waiting without updates or direction. This experience was disappointing. I would expect Penske to be solution-based, especially when it comes to accessibility and customer accommodation, not reactive or dismissive. I am submitting this feedback so the situation can be reviewed and improvements can be made moving forward.
