  I'd like to start off by saying that I'd give Gerber 0 stars if I could. I wouldn't wish this place upon my worst enemy. They are absolutely TERRIBLE. I took my car in for an estimate (#1) on June 8th after getting rear-ended on June 2nd. They gave me an estimate and scheduled a drop off for repairs on June 11. Thinking that my car was getting fixed, I got a call on June 17th stating my car's damage cost high enough (estimate #2) after taking the rear bumper off and inspecting it closer, they were going to total it. After speaking with the person who hit me's insurance company, they decided to green light it and ok it to be repaired. Next call got was on June 24th. They then claimed that they found more damage and the estimate increased (estimate #3) again. When I questioned how they found more damage they responded by stating they don't get paid to take the car apart to get an accurate quote. Once again, I had to call insurance to get it cleared to be fixed. The new time frame was they would start it after the July 4th holiday. No communication until I stopped in on July 21st to see how it was coming along. Magically, they claimed to find more damage (estimate #4)....without tearing it down anymore past taking the bumper off, and it not leaving the back lot of their building and without calling to inform me. I was livid. I called insurance once again and got it approved. The estimate went from $4,800 to $8,400 to $9,600 to $12,500 without doing any work on it other than taking off the bumper. Their inability to communicate, and constantly changing estimates trying to not repair my car cost me my last summer traveling with my son before he goes to college and a trip with my wife for our 25th anniversary. Both trips cancelled because they took my car (the only one that is big enough to travel in) for 7 weeks and refused to fix it. This is time and memories that I will never get back with my family. I pulled up with a tow truck and took it away to a place that I trusted. The new place had it repaired in a week for $4,000 less than Gerbers estimate. Two different employees of Gerber agreed that they needed to do something to "make things right"....and what's new? NO PHONE CALL to apologize. Gerber should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. Edit: The General manager Katie has not been in contact with me. I'm not sure why Gerbers reply to this review says that. They need to be better in the honesty department.

  I looked over the quote, in total only 40 hours of labor if that. Two weeks in, all communication says in time, then the day before I'm told they need an additional 4 days.....well I'm paying out of pocket for my rental, 86 bucks a day. So that 4 more days is over 300 dollars more out of my pocket. And they wait til the last minute to tell me. Or I save 300 and lose my job. But they want the deductible.....but cost me extra money because with a total of 4 weeks worth of notice still couldn't get it done in time. Yes, I started this process over 4 weeks ago. And it was easy, swap the bumper, trunk lid, replace sensors on bumper, repaint. But I bet their greed is costing me money, let me find out they touched anything else and I'll hang em to dry for insurance fraud. Two weeks they've had my car, parts should've been ordered since they started receiving payment long before they even called me to set the appointment.

  I recently had rims fixed on my car through Gerber and they turned out looking brand new! I can’t thank their estimator Mariana enough for her help getting me in so quick and making the process as easy as possible! I was hesitant getting my car fixed as I didn’t want to be without my car; Mariana went above and beyond to make sure my car was fixed within a days time so I wouldn’t have to worry about getting a rental. Thank you!!

  Avoid Gerber Collision on Dupont Road at all costs. Their incompetence and complete lack of communication have turned a basic front-end repair into a five-week nightmare. I repeatedly stated that I only wanted an evaluation and second opinion, yet they moved forward without clearly explaining what I was authorizing. A very simple 1700 dollar fix has now taken 5 weeks. If you need another example of their incompetence they somehow broke my metal key forcing to replace it and they didn’t offer to cover anything. They barely responded or provided a meaningful update or explanation in weeks. Five weeks without my car, repeated misinformation, zero communication, and absolutely no accountability. Taking my car here was a massive mistake.
