  I learned from a highly trusted owner of an auto service and repair business about Unique Auto Repair. His business specialty wasn’t in directly troubleshooting electrical / electronic problems. He gave me AJ’s name at Unique Auto Repair. A few days later I drove my 2019 F150 XLT over to speak with him about the ongoing intermittent problems I was having with my electrical issues. Based on YouTube videos I watched I was convinced it was a faulty BCM. That’s what is known as the Body Control Module. I thought moisture corroded some of the contacts. It got to be much more critical to me when my low beam headlights began to not light up when turned on. I won’t go on with all the other related electronic issues that were going on before the issue with the headlights. When talking with a local Ford dealership service manager about these same issues he immediately said that I was going to have at least a $1,000 in it for the troubleshooting and repairs.That’s when i ended up searching for a trusted alternative to deal with my problems. I ended up at Unique Auto and was extremely glad I did. Upon purchasing my truck new I replaced the original equipment lights with LED lighting. High / Low beams, fog lights, cargo lights, license plate light. Didn’t experience any problems at first but then the alarm started going off unexpectedly on rare occasions. I thought maybe moisture from the car wash triggered it. As time went on other odd things odd things happened. Only 1 low beam headlights came on. Then only one cargo light came on. This was somewhat of a slow progression over 7 years. I knew I couldn’t continue to ignore it when the headlights failed to turn on. I was informed by AJ that his tech said I needed the return to the original equipment lighting setup that came with my vehicle. Never liked the halogen headlights that came with the truck but had them replace all the lighting that I replaced with LED’s years ago. They then replaced them all with new OE lights. No BCM needed. I’d much rather have had the brighter LED headlights but now better understand the sensitivity of current draw of the newer electronics now being used in vehicles these days. I also had them put on a new front splash shield for me. Everything back to working properly and was very pleased with cost of the new lighting parts put in and the labor involved.   The only thing that upsets me is that I didn’t find this place sooner! Took my hybrid in for some routine maintenance and it was the best experience I’ve ever had. Everyone who I dealt with was not only professional and explained everything thoroughly, but they are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. AJ was the one I talked to the most and he couldn’t have made the experience any better. The whole process was so streamlined, it was incredibly easy from start to finish. When I got the call that the car was ready, I asked what the final price was and it ended up being $100 less than what they quoted!! What garage does that?! They could’ve easily charged the extra money and I would’ve been none the wiser. Not this place. Their cost was less than expected and they passed that on to me. Literally will only be going to them for anything I need from now on. If you want a truly amazing (or shall I say unique) auto maintenance experience, this place is a far beyond anyone else!

  Unique Auto did stellar job of keeping our old faithful car on the road. For less than half of what the dealer quoted they resurrected our 2014 Chevy Cruze diesel. The process included a brilliant work around for a key component that turned out to be unavailable (and no, emissions were not deleted.) We will definitely take our next car concern to them.
