  National one way rental from Ft Wayne was great. Agent was very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy. Bus shuttle to terminal at Detroit had a courteous driver

  I have been a National Emerald member for years and have never had an experience like the one I had at this location. An employee attempted to deny my rental while visibly uncertain of the policy she was citing. When she referenced documentation to justify it, the written policy did not match what she was verbally telling me. That alone is a problem. The rental was ultimately completed only after I asked for a supervisor, which tells you everything you need to know. The resolution existed. It just required escalating past someone who was wrong and unwilling to move. The 24 to 48 hour flight itinerary requirement for debit rentals at an airport is also a policy worth reconsidering, if it even is policy. Schedules change. That is the nature of airports. I’ve never had a reason to travel to Fort Wayne, be assured I hope I won’t ever need to.

  Plenty of time to call and say there are no same day rentals But the fact that is a laughable matter to your staff is deplorable. Thank you for the inconvenience
