  On the phone, the employees were courteous and professional. Scheduled an appointment on the next day. On the next day the the office, the employees were again, courteous and professional, in person.

  Been coming here since I came to Waukegan about 18 months ago. They've always been honest and done work, prices are always very reasonable especially compared to what you get at a dealership, communication has always been great. Today I had a scraping under my car, I brought it in and there was a tree branch stuck in my undercarriage. They took the time to remove it and didn't charge me. Great and fair service and I will keep coming back.

  I brought my 2016 Dodge Charger Daytona in for what I believed was an engine issue. The technicians diagnosed the vehicle and found it was a simple fuel pump issue and a tune up for a GREAT price. I was very thankful that it wasn't an engine...Thank you Car Fix for bringing her back to life, I can now cruise with our worry 😁

  I brought my car in for a battery warning light on the dashboard. I was told the alternator and battery tested fine, including a load test, and that the problem was with the engine instead. They made repairs based on that diagnosis, but the same warning light came back just a day after I picked up the car. I took it to another mechanic, who found the alternator was testing bad under load and failing intermittently. It’s frustrating that I paid for engine repairs that didn’t fix the actual problem, and ended up having to take it to a second shop to get it properly diagnosed.

  Good service and friendly staff, but they seriously overcharge for parts and especially for labor compared to other shops in the area. I had to push back and negotiate just to get the original prices down, which already felt way too high. For my old Volkswagen, they quoted me over 1k for a job after I had already paid around 800 and something, and another shop ended up doing the same work for about 600 dollars less. That’s a huge difference and made me feel like I was being taken advantage of rather than treated fairly. They kept reaching out to follow up, but by that point I had already decided I would never bring my car back. Unless you’re basically rich and don’t care what you’re paying, I’d recommend going somewhere else that’s more transparent and reasonable on pricing.
