- SAShane A3 days ago1.0Yesterday I was sold a Die Hard battery to fit my wife's Kawasaki Z650. After getting it home and in the bike, found that the terminal fasteners from the previous battery didn't fit. After a run to Ace that shouldn't have been necessary, the bike wouldn't crank. After a meter and a closer inspection, found out it was barely farting out 7V and was made in March of 2024, making it 2.5 years old. Plus it was very sticky for no apparent reason. After a call with a Gen Z who needed help spelling Kawasaki ("bet, fam"), I returned it for a fresh battery and found out the reason the old one was sticky is because it was supposed to have a bag of terminal fasteners on it. So I was sold a returned item some incompetent cashier threw back on the shelf. It cost us one of the last beautiful rides of the season yesterday and I will not be returning - I'm going to advance on to O'Reilly.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
