  I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Dobbs Tire & Auto, primarily because of the lack of communication and the inability to properly diagnose and resolve the issues I originally brought my vehicle in for. I first visited this location in early-to-mid August, returned again on October 1st, and as of October 21st, I am still dealing with the same two issues with my vehicle despite paying for repairs. Each time, I clearly explained the problems I was experiencing. However, instead of identifying and correcting the root cause, I was told other repairs were needed and that those repairs should fix the problem. I paid for the recommended work believing my concerns had been addressed, only to discover that the original issues were still there. I would then be told it could be something else, leaving me with very little confidence that the actual problem had been properly diagnosed. Communication has been just as frustrating. On one occasion, I was asked to bring my vehicle in, only for it to sit on the lot without being serviced because the technician needed to work on it was not there that day. I have also been given dates and timeframes for when parts or other items were supposed to arrive, yet more than two weeks have passed without an update. Most of the time, I have had to call the shop myself just to find out what is happening with my vehicle. What makes this even more concerning is that I have witnessed other customers at this location express frustration with communication as well. I understand that automotive problems can sometimes be difficult to diagnose, and I don’t expect every issue to be solved instantly. What I do expect is clear communication, accurate troubleshooting, realistic timelines, and confidence that when I am paying for a repair, the repair actually addresses the problem I brought the vehicle in for. After multiple visits, multiple repairs, and money spent, my vehicle still has the same two issues I originally brought it in for. At this point, the repeated lack of communication and uncertainty surrounding the diagnosis have made this an extremely frustrating experience. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location.

  I was greeted by Jason Hahn who did a fine job all around. He is personable and professional. He explained everything about the service done to my truck and described the discrepancies. Excellent work and just one more reason I'm a Swansea Dobbs long time customer.

  Slide wall of my tire was punctured! Called a few tire shops in the Belleville/Swansea area and end up at Dobbs. an employee name Ryker recited what they had in stock. I agree to order a new tire because they didn’t carry my size for my preferred brand. With in the same day with they replace my tire and held it for me to pick it up. Great service paired with quality team.

  Won’t ever be back ! Soon as I walked in the male working the reception desk rolled his eyes and didn’t want to greet me at all. I communicated to him what was going on with my car he had a flat out attitude the entire time with me for some reason I don’t know why. It was very very off putting the way he was speaking with me. This interaction was only about 5 mins so I don’t understand where that nasty behavior developed. As the conversation ended another customer came in. He greeted her and changed his tone to a way nicer style. Only difference between me and that customer he was nicer to was that she was white and I was black. I’ve gotten my car serviced there plenty of times never have I had such a nasty experience. I have a huge following on tiktok and will be making a video about this because this was unbelievable.

  SCAMMERS — I will absolutely NEVER go back here again. I brought my car in with a tire that had a slow leak and asked them to repair it. I was told the tire was “unrepairable” because it supposedly had a slash and a large hole in it. That immediately seemed suspicious to me because the tire was still holding air. I then brought them another flat tire that I needed repaired and mounted. Once again, I was told the tire was “unrepairable” because of a supposed slash. Here’s the problem: THERE WAS NO SLASH IN EITHER TIRE. One had a drywall screw in it, and the other had a piece of rebar. Both were completely repairable. I took both tires to another shop, and they repaired both without any issue. I spent less than what ONE new tire at Dobbs would have cost me. I can’t say what the reason was for telling me both tires were unrepairable, but after this experience, I have absolutely no trust in this business. If you’re told you need a new tire here, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before spending your money. I will never bring my car back to Dobbs.
