  We where out of town over 2 hours and for got to change oil. Stopped at a Valvoline . Got the great same quick & friendly service as if I was at my hometown one !

  I don’t leave reviews often, but my last oil change a couple months ago, I stopped by this location. Two of the employees were arguing over which bay they wanted me to go to, because neither one of them wanted to deal with me. That already made me irritated because they are there for providing a service. So eventually, after going Back-and-forth, I went to the bay that they decided on. An Illinois State Police officer pulled in About 10 minutes after I had been waiting and He went to the bay that I was moved from. That bay Opened up and they let him go right in, even though I had been there for quite a while and they had moved me from there. I get that he’s a state trooper But that is not the way Valvoline has ever treated me. I was really upset by the way I was treated and dismissed so I pulled out and went to the Jefferson location and let them know what happened. They treated me amazing and told me that that is not policy to allow another car that came 10 minutes after me to pull in to be serviced before me, even if he was a state trooper. It was very rude to act like I was a nuisance by pulling in wanting an oil change and arguing in front of my car over who was going to have to wait on me. The guys on Jefferson agreed that that was Horrible customer service and not the way Valvoline normally treats their clients. Imagine going into Foot Locker wanting a pair of Jordans and you see the employee and you’re trying to tell him what size you want and he’s arguing with another employee in an irritated manner Back-and-forth Right in front of You , because neither one of them Wanted to be bothered by you. I would walk out and go to Finish Line. So that’s what I did, Jefferson Valvoline a.k.a. Finish Line.

  Went for an oil change and the guy tested my battery and never told me anything was wrong. Well he tells me to start my car, and when I do it will not start. He then proceeds to tell me your battery is bad. I never had any problems with my battery or my car starting before this. He test my battery again after the fact my car didn’t start, and then says “oh your battery is bad you need a new battery.” I said didn’t you just test it he says “yes, but it was not in the red zone and not great either, so I didn’t say anything to you about it.” I ask how much for a battery he says $236, I say I will go somewhere else and he got upset that I did not buy a battery. There was nothing wrong with my battery. My car has been running just fine even had it tested somewhere else. I believe they unplugged my battery trying to get me to buy a new one. Will not go to this location again.

  The guys were friendly and efficient. Everyone was professional. The actual facility is clean and clearly well-managed. I was particularly excited to see that one of the staff members was female. There truly needs to be more female representation in auto mechanics, and I appreciated seeing her there. Thanks you.
