  So we bought a 2024 momentum toy-hauler on JULY 22nd. On the 21st we received a call about a recall that must be repaired before they can release it...okay I get it. The parts were ORDERED ON THE 21ST. We were supposed to get a new bed, didn't order it it until signing was done. Just arrived weeks later. Supposed to do an exterior treatment to the rv, never done. I don't understand thier thinking or processes. When an rv comes in on trade or to sell, evaluate rv and make necessary repairs or corrections to make it syllable. We took delivery two weeks after signing and things weren't comeplete 100%, the bed was still on order, the coating wasn't done. At this point I could of walked away, legally. The new GM calls me trying to make things right and began to bully my on the phone. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone until they fix their processes and communication problems. The parts guy was off on the Thursday and Friday after signing, and nobody knew our parts status. Nobody? Thats a broken system. It was a colossal nightmare getting answers. Be cautious folks.

  The friendly staff was so helpful! 4 hours from home and over an hour from them, they stayed after closing to make sure I was able to pick up a power cord. Thank you to the young man that answered the phone!

  I brought my motorhome to Camping World in Springfield for several specific concerns, including a serious safety issue involving a leveling jack dropping while the vehicle was in motion. I disputed their estimate for several reasons. After informing them of this, I received an invoice containing eight separate half-hour diagnostic charges totaling $476. In several cases, the written findings simply repeated symptoms I had already reported, recommended additional labor, or proposed replacing parts before the original problem had actually been diagnosed. Camping World had the motorhome for nearly two weeks. Despite that, I was told to purchase approximately $500 in batteries before they could continue diagnosing the leveling system. However, the paperwork did not include voltage readings, load-test results, fault codes, or confirmation that the batteries were actually causing the problem. The estimate then requested additional diagnostic time after the batteries were replaced. Similar requests for additional time appeared throughout the invoice. I asked a simple question: If I approved everything listed, would the problems I brought the motorhome in for be diagnosed and repaired for the stated price? I never received a clear answer. The manager reduced the bill somewhat but continued defending the remaining charges rather than explaining what the original diagnostic fees had actually purchased. I offered $150 for the limited work and inspection documented on the invoice. That offer was declined. Because this motorhome is also my residence, I contacted Camping World corporate. Corporate initially told me someone would respond within three to five days. Instead, I was placed on hold and ultimately referred directly back to the same store manager. I am not opposed to paying qualified technicians for legitimate diagnostic work. I am opposed to an open-ended process in which each payment produces another recommendation, another authorization request, and no defined path to an actual diagnosis or completed repair. The motorhome had recently undergone an inspection, and I was already aware of the age and general condition of the batteries. After retrieving it from Camping World, I immediately took it to an independent battery specialist to confirm their condition. Two technicians stopped what they were doing and tested all four batteries. The batteries were approximately three years old and fully charged. That does not prove the batteries were perfect, but it reinforced my concern that Camping World had recommended replacing approximately $500 worth of batteries before continuing the diagnosis without documenting comparable testing on my paperwork. That left me with an unavoidable question: Was the battery recommendation a deliberate upsell, or was the estimate prepared hastily and with poor-quality diagnostic work? Neither possibility inspires confidence. Once I learned that the batteries may not have been properly tested before replacement was recommended, I was left wondering what else in the estimate might have been exaggerated, rushed, or included simply to increase the total. That is how my experience with Camping World left me feeling. I am a disabled veteran and do not have unlimited money. This motorhome is not merely a recreational vehicle, it is also my home. I needed a clear diagnosis, a defined repair path, and an honest explanation of what I was being charged for. I did not receive those things. Before purchasing a new or used RV, authorizing repairs, or agreeing to a service plan or extended warranty at this location, I strongly recommend obtaining the diagnostic scope, expected deliverables, additional-labor policy, and vehicle-release terms in writing. Do not assume that paying a diagnostic fee means you will receive a diagnosis.

  Made an appointment a week in advance to buy a specific camper. Despite doing all the prerequisite needed to make it as quick and painless as possible we were still there for almost 4 hours. Damage had occurred to the camper between the time that we initially looked at it and when we purchased it. During the walk through we noticed it and they said it was an easy fix and supposedly fixed it while we were there. They also hid other damage that would have been obvious to anyone moving the bed. Unfortunately I didn't do sure diligence and walk through every step of set up and tear down. That's on me. However I do think it's quite unscrupulous to not disclose such an obvious damage to the people who broke it down and set it up multiple times between the day we initially made the 4 hour one way trip to see it and a week later when we bought it. Also the quick and easy "fix" broke and caused more damage in the 3 hours it took to get from camping world to the campsite so we could set up and organize our camping gear. I don't fault the salesman or the parts guy who didn't have anything to do with the supposed inspection that was also supposedly performed before our purchase, but there had to be at least 3 people who know about hidden damage and didn't say anything and the band aid they threw on the damage I found not being a fix. I accept my error in trusting camping world employees and the resulting responsibility I have in this matter. That doesn't change the fact that if never by any camper from this location ever again. You don't make repeat customers by lying about fixing damaged items and hiding others.
