- AAAtoZNov 1, 20185.0Went to AutoZone first get RainX brand wipers for my car spent close to 20 mins in the store with no help or acknowledgement from staff, left location disappointed without purchasing. After AutoZone want to Advanced Auto Parts since they are the closest location. Upon entering the store immediately was greeted by an employee that said he will be with me as soon as he's done with his customer, within few minutes I was assisted and bought what I needed and based on service provided ended up buying some other stuff for the car that I was going to wait to buy. Will revisit this location again and will highly recommend it.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
