  My wife just brought her car home with paint flaking off the bumper they repaired and its not even flush and clipped in so it's sticking out. This was an insurance claim repair. This is the worst repair work I have ever seen in my life and I've had numerous cars painted and body work repaired. I'll be calling the shop tomorrow and figuring out whos incompetence this was because this is unacceptable. I will report back to let others know if they have a solution or if this is the kind of work they're proud of sending out into the world.

  Brought the car in for cosmetic damage to the fender and headlamp. Spent about $6500 in repairs only to be sent home with my vehicle that had a flat on the opposite side of the car. The body shop recommended that I bring the car to a tire shop after the car had already been in their shop for almost two weeks. No attempt to make this right and the person who handled the claim, Ben, did not meet with me and rather had the very friendly lady working up front break the news to me. Not a good experience and will certainly not come back.

  We just had our BMW X3 serviced for its right rear side and bumper damage with a perfect job at Gerber Collision at this Skokie location. We are highly grateful for technicians doing a such outstanding job fixing all functional parts, especially the art looking painting work that perfectly matching original. The Manager and his team members we interacted were professional and genuinely caring. Overall services received and quality of the repair was far exceeded expectations. Deyou Guo/ Hong Tao

  I took my SUV to Gerber after an accident for an estimate due to front bumper damage and engine issues, including overheating and white smoke. I specifically asked the estimator to only provide an estimate, but they repaired the front bumper anyway and told me to see a mechanic for the engine problems. The insurance covered the bumper repair, but I had to pay the deductible. Now, the car is not drivable, and the insurance won’t cover the engine replacement. It seemed pointless to fix the bumper without addressing the engine issues. Despite my request not to repair the bumper, Gerber went ahead with it, citing that I had signed a form allowing them to do so. I feel they took advantage of my situation and prioritized profit over providing the best solution for me. I wouldn’t trust them again.
