- AAAndresSep 21, 20262.0The guy behind the desk was extremely rude and unprofessional. I bought some parts here the other day, and a new employee was helping me. His coworker seemed to have an attitude because the new guy was still learning how to operate the software and needed help closing out the online order. I decided to return the parts the following day because I ended up not needing them, and coincidentally, the same two employees were working. The new employee tried to help me with the return but, understandably, still didn't know how to process it through the software. I had no issue with that at all. I understand he’s new and probably hasn’t had time to learn everything yet. While I was waiting, his coworker was on the speaker phone and mocking the customer he was speaking with by imitating his accent. Once he finished the call, I explained that I was returning the parts because I no longer needed them. He then muttered under his breath, “Well, what did you buy them for then?” I’m glad the parts I needed were in stock, but there are plenty of other auto parts stores in the area. Based on my experience, I have no reason to come back to a store where I found the staff to be this rude and unprofessional.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
