We recently bought at CPO Volvo XC40. Patty Villa was our salesperson. We looked at cars on Saturday, drove a few different ones, and made our offer on Monday and drove the car home that night. Patty answered all of our questions and did not pressure us to make an immediate decision. She stayed late to show us how to use all of the electronics and was incredibly kind when we apologized for keeping her late. The next time we buy a car, I would not hesitate to use The Autobarn Volvo Cars Oak Park and ask for Patty. She was wonderful to work with! Thank you!

Jimmy Hanson - Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! I bought my first Volvo XC40 back in 2023. I loved it so much that i decided to lease a new 2026 XC40. Jimmy made the experience so easy and smooth. Jimmy was kind, professional and very helpful. There were no surprises or pressure in upgrading. Transparent thoughout the experience. Once all the paperwork was, Jimmy kindly walked me through the new care and all of its features. Thank you Jimmy! Also, the service team is fantastic. Top Grade staff and service.

I purchased a Mercedes-Benz wagon from The Autobarn Volvo Cars Oak Park in Illinois while living in Ohio. During the sales process, I was told the dealership regularly sells vehicles to out-of-state buyers, giving me confidence they understood remote transactions and would stand behind their vehicles. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Immediately after delivery, I noticed the ride quality was much rougher than expected. I scheduled a post-purchase inspection with MAG Motors, the only independent repair facility in the Cleveland area dedicated exclusively to Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The inspection identified multiple issues, including: * Incorrectly sized battery * Missing battery hold-down bracket, allowing the battery to move freely inside its compartment * Tire balance issues on all four wheels * One tire that could not be properly road-force balanced * Worn front ball joint * Leaking turbocharger seals * Overdue brake fluid service * Additional maintenance items The battery issue was particularly concerning. The wrong-sized battery had been installed without the necessary retention hardware, allowing it to slide around inside the compartment. This was a pre-existing condition, not normal wear and tear, and raised obvious safety and reliability concerns. I provided the dealership with the professional inspection report, photographs, invoices, and video evidence showing the unsecured battery moving inside its compartment. I also provided MAG Motors’ contact information and invited the dealership to speak directly with the technicians who performed the inspection. I was not asking the dealership to cover every issue identified. I understood the vehicle was sold as-is and accepted responsibility for normal maintenance and wear items. My request was limited to reimbursement for the improperly sized battery and missing retention hardware, a documented problem that existed before delivery. Despite reviewing the evidence, general manager Scott Cramer ultimately refused to offer any reimbursement. The dealership’s position was that because I lived several hundred miles away and could not realistically return the vehicle to Illinois, they would not help. They also stated they do not pay third-party repair facilities, even though I had already paid for the repair myself to ensure the vehicle was safe to drive. The title process was another frustrating experience. The salesperson never advised me that an Ohio VIN inspection and e-check documentation were required. I learned of this two weeks after purchase when the title department contacted me. I obtained the paperwork within 48 hours, but the dealership mistakenly sent it to Illinois rather than Ohio. They then asked me to revisit both offices to obtain new original documents because of their error. Fortunately, Illinois returned the paperwork, avoiding the need for duplicates. However, more than a month after purchase, I am still waiting for the title needed to register the vehicle and obtain plates. I understand that used cars can have issues and that buying a vehicle as-is involves risk. What I find unacceptable is refusing to address a documented, pre-existing safety-related issue after receiving a professional inspection report, invoices, photographs, video evidence, and an invitation to speak directly with the Mercedes-Benz specialist. My takeaway is that The Autobarn is happy to sell vehicles to out-of-state buyers, but when a legitimate post-sale issue arises, living out of state becomes a reason not to help. I will not purchase another vehicle from this dealership. I strongly encourage anyone considering an out-of-state purchase from The Autobarn to obtain a thorough pre-purchase inspection. Had I done so, I likely would have walked away from this vehicle entirely.

⭐ If I Could Give Zero Stars, I Would! If you’re looking for a place to waste three hours of your life and $250, look no further than The Autobarn Volvo of Oak Park! Truly an unforgettable experience—and not in a good way. I brought my Volvo in for what should have been a simple $250 wheel alignment. Sounds straightforward, right? Apparently, I was asking for a miracle. Three hours and THREE alignment attempts later, my car still had the exact same problem. But don’t worry, they had a brilliant solution: Pay them another $350 for a diagnostic so they could figure out why their $250 service didn’t resolve the issue! Absolutely genius! Did they offer any alternatives? Nope. Any helpful recommendations? Of course not. Did a manager step in to address the situation? Not a chance! When I asked whether I was seriously expected to pay the $250 despite the problem not being fixed, the service advisor confidently told me YES! His reasoning? “You came in asking for an alignment, and that’s what we did.” Well, congratulations! You certainly did SOMETHING. Three times, apparently, and still managed to accomplish absolutely nothing toward fixing my problem. So, to summarize, I paid $250 for a three-hour car wash, because that’s about the only noticeable benefit I got from this entire experience. The complete lack of customer service, accountability, and basic problem-solving was honestly impressive. It takes a special kind of service department to turn a routine alignment into a three-hour, $250 lesson in regret. So, if you have money to burn, hours to waste, and absolutely no expectations of customer service, The Autobarn Volvo of Oak Park is the place for you! Zero accountability. Zero solutions. Zero customer satisfaction. But hey, at least my car was clean! 👏 Never again.

When my Volvo experienced unexpected water damage, I was facing an unplanned and stressful decision about what to do next. From the moment I walked into Volvo Autobarn Oak Park, the team treated me with kindness, respect, and patience. Freddie in Service helped me understand the situation, Rodney guided me through my options, and the Finance team made the process straightforward and comfortable. At no point did I feel pressured. Instead, I felt supported as I took several days to consider what was best for me. Their professionalism and genuine care turned a difficult experience into a positive one, and I ultimately decided to purchase another Volvo, my third from this dealership. I am grateful for the outstanding service and would enthusiastically recommend Volvo Autobarn Oak Park to anyone in the Chicagoland area looking for a vehicle and a team they can trust.
