Jimmy H. was our salesman, and he made it easy, transparent, and free of unpleasant surprises. Buying a new car ought to be joyful, and he made it that. We had pleasant interactions with the rest of the staff as well.

I have never been charged extra. This time is the first time I was. I was told I should pay $2,000 to give the car to Autobarn, rather than the inspector from Volvo. Again, never had a charge like this and it feels off.

- NMNoel MaguigadAug 9, 20261.0This is for the service department. They need more competent technicians and friendlier staff. Nobody there seems to like their job. Very disappointing repair experience with Autobarn Volvo. Several weeks ago, we had the rear brakes and rotors replaced and asked them to check the parking brake. The underlying problem was not diagnosed. We recently returned for front brakes and rotors and again asked them to check the parking brake. They found an error code for the left rear actuator and replaced it. When we picked up the car, we tested the parking brake ourselves and immediately heard the exact same noise. It turned out the right rear actuator was also malfunctioning. What is most frustrating is that apparently nobody simply tested the parking brake after the repair. Activating it once would have made it obvious the problem wasn't fixed. Reading an error code and replacing a part isn't complete troubleshooting. Autobarn had multiple opportunities to diagnose this correctly. Instead, we wasted significant time and had to leave the car again for another four or five days. For what dealership service costs, I expect better diagnosis and basic quality control. I've brought my car here for years, but the quality of service seems to have declined. This experience has seriously damaged my confidence in Autobarn Volvo.
