- SIStephanie IzaJul 17, 20265.0This was my second AAP store of the day, the 1st which I won’t take the time to formally name, was of no help. The manager on duty couldn’t even take the time to help the cashier who might’ve been new? Because he didn’t know how to handle an online return nor did he seem interested in helping me out. Mind you I had the emailed receipt. Their option was to just call customer service. - So I did what any insane person would do and drive to the next closest AAP, which was this one on Cicero. I brought in my item to return and the young man at the front was also unfamiliar with online returns. He however took the time to ask the manager on duty the right questions and she walked him through the process. I was out of there in 5 minutes. They weren’t bothered I was there and they helped me out expeditiously.

What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
