    Just returned a rental car minutes before midnight to the back of a parking lot with zero working lights and a key drop box hidden behind the building, completely out of sight. The lot was so poorly organized with cars parked everywhere that driving through it was nearly impossible, forcing an even longer walk in the dark. As a woman carrying multiple bags from traveling alone at night, being expected to park in an unlit area and walk across the property twice felt extremely unsafe and completely unacceptable. 0/10. Would not recommend as someone who rents cars weekly.

    Rented a car from Kansas with a drop off at the O'fallon, IL location. At the Kansas location, we noted some dings/scratches to representative. He told us any dings/scratches smaller than a quarter isn't recorded as damage so we didn't needed to note them down. We did note a crack in the display panel. Took a picture and video showing the crack, mileage and the fact that we had not left the parking lot. The crack was a pre-existing condition. We drove home. Returned the car that evening. A few days later I get an email notification of damages to thier. A few days later (Friday), I get an estimated bill of over $1K to fix the car. The photo provided with bill includes the crack on the display panel, and numerous dings/scratches that are smaller than quarter. I am so upset I couldn't sleep and restless all weekend. My husband called them Monday morning. He tells them we are not going and that we have pictures showing the pre-existing damage. He's told they will review the case. I received an email today (Tuesday) stating they are going paying to get thier car fix. Thanking me for being a loyal customer. Here's the issue: 1. They never asked us to provide our proof. -- So how did they come to their conclusion? Either they already know it was a pre-existing condition and was hoping we didn't have proof so they could make someone else pay to fix thier car. Or they didn't do thier job and look up the record for this to see that this was pre-existing condition. Either way, bad business. 2. Why did the Kansas representative state that dings/scratches smaller than quarter isn't recorded as "damage" but yet the estimated bill stated these item as damages. BTW, I've rented cars for many years due to business travels and I've been told similar thing from other rental companies. Yet, Enterprise doesn't seem to stand by thier word. Lesson to everyone. Don't believe what they tell. Recommend you do a walking around video of the car. Zoom in on anything that might be questionable. I normally do this if I hadn't, I might have been suck with $1K plus bill.

    Had a great experience. Cole called a couple days in advance to verify the rental details. They were a little busy on Sunday when we dropped the vehicles back off, but they were quick and it went smooth. The vehicle we rented was clean and was a nice, comfortable ride. We will definitely use them any time we need to rent another vehicle.
