We can service, replace, and repair exhaust systems, catalytic converters, tailpipes, and mufflers. Ensuring these systems are working properly is key to elongating the life of your vehicle and maintaining optimal performance.

Your vehicle's shocks, struts, and suspension are key components to ensure your vehicle's performance and a more comfortable ride. As such, it's important to properly maintain these components on your vehicle.
Nothing ruins a day faster than a dead car battery. Many factors could lead to your car not starting — a bad battery, failed alternator, or worn-out starter are just a few examples.
Our highly-trained auto technicians and mechanics have decades of experience diagnosing, repairing, and replacing worn out car batteries. We understand how important a reliable car battery is for your car or truck to run and operate reliably. Every car battery replacement and installation we perform uses trusted brands and comes with a limited warranty on parts and service.
There's not much worse than getting in your car, turning that key and seeing that little exclamation point icon telling you that you have low tire pressure. But if you just filled up your tires yesterday and you're still seeing that warning, it may be time to replace your vehicle's TPMS sensor.

This location by far has the greatest staff!! Everyone here is helpful kind and knowledgeable! Had a low tire sensor and they checked my tires and added air and suggested new tires as the tires on the car were old and suggested to chang soon and were helpful in recommendations with replacement tires.

7-1-26. My son had an appointment here. I brought the car in. Was told mechanic running late. I waited, the manager Johnny didn't stay behind the counter where there was A/C. He worked in garage area trying to get customers out quickly. Other mechanics showed up. He was very apologetic. Very polite and honest.

I definitely want to make mavis my go to place! Everytime i’ve been, they’re so helpful and always able to fix whatever my issue is. Lionel was very transparent about pricing and made sure I was okay with the prices before they got started, which I appreciate a lot. It makes you feel more at ease and not pressured.

I am very disappointed with my experience at Mavis Tires & Brakes on Milwaukee Avenue in Niles, IL.
I visited the shop for a wheel alignment and ended up waiting nearly 90 minutes. After all that time, I was told they could not perform the alignment because their machine might damage my front bumper. While I understand that sometimes a service cannot be completed, I do not understand why it took so long just to reach that conclusion.
What concerns me even more is what happened afterward. Before arriving, I had withdrawn $120 in cash. The store manager informed me that the wheel alignment would cost $100, leaving me with an extra $20 in cash that I kept in the center armrest area of my car along with my license, wallet, and insurance documents.
After leaving the shop, I checked my vehicle and discovered that the $20 was missing. I clearly remember placing it there before my visit. I cannot say exactly what happened, but the cash was gone after my vehicle was at the shop, which has left me feeling very uncomfortable and disappointed.
This is not about the $20 itself—it is about trust. I live in this neighborhood and expected better treatment and professionalism from a local business. Customers should be able to leave their vehicles for service without worrying about their personal belongings.
Overall, this experience was frustrating, disappointing, and unacceptable. I hope management takes customer concerns seriously and ensures that no one else has a similar experience in the future.

I wanted to be reasonable here but this was such a horrible experience that wasted money and days of my time.
Paid $550 for an alignment and ball joint replacement after bringing my wife's car in because it was pulling to the right. This was the recommended repair, but the vehicle continued to veer right afterward. I had to bring the car back twice more for additional adjustments. On the third visit, I was told the alignment WAS correct and that a CV joint would need to be replaced to address the issue, which I declined after losing confidence in the diagnostic process itself. The end result was three visits, hours spent coordinating rides for drop-off and pick-up, and $550 later, the original problem remains unresolved — my wife's car still veers to the right. A pretty frustrating experience from what I thought was a reputable shop. It's difficult to understand why it took three visits to arrive at that conclusion.
