  I am extremely disappointed with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The customer service itself wasn’t the biggest issue. The real problem is a company policy that seems completely disconnected from the realities of today’s workforce. As a professional truck driver, I spend most of my time working across state lines. My commercial driver’s license and home address don’t always match the state where I need a rental vehicle because my job literally requires me to travel. Instead of recognizing this common situation, Enterprise’s out-of-state driver policies create unnecessary barriers that make it incredibly difficult, and in some cases impossible, for hardworking professionals to rent a car when they need one most. It’s frustrating that a company whose business depends on helping travelers has policies that can effectively exclude people whose careers are built around travel. Professional truck drivers are entrusted with operating vehicles worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, hauling millions of dollars in freight, and complying with strict federal regulations. Yet somehow we’re treated as if we’re too much of a risk to rent a passenger car simply because we’re temporarily working outside our home state. These policies don’t just create inconvenience. They can leave drivers stranded after truck breakdowns, repairs, or company-directed travel, forcing them to scramble for expensive alternatives or wait for transportation that could have been avoided with more reasonable policies. Enterprise should seriously reevaluate these outdated restrictions and create exceptions or streamlined procedures for verified commercial drivers and other traveling professionals. Until then, I can’t recommend Enterprise to anyone whose career requires frequent interstate travel. A company that markets convenience shouldn’t have policies that make renting a vehicle so unnecessarily difficult for the very people who spend their lives on the road. You need to do better.

  This was by far one of the worst car rental experiences I have ever had. I rented a 2026 Volkswagen from this company, and the vehicle suffered a transmission failure during my rental. A nearly new vehicle should never experience such a serious mechanical problem, which raises serious concerns about the quality and maintenance of their fleet. After reporting the breakdown, I was assured that the vehicle would be towed promptly and that a replacement car would be provided. Neither happened as promised. The towing company failed to arrive until the next day, leaving me stranded and disrupting my schedule. To make matters worse, customer service instructed me to travel to another location to pick up a replacement vehicle, only for the staff there to refuse to provide it because the disabled vehicle had not yet been collected by the tow truck. The entire process was disorganized, unprofessional, and filled with misinformation. Different employees gave conflicting explanations, and no one seemed willing or able to take responsibility for resolving the situation. The manager was particularly disappointing—completely ineffective, unhelpful, and incapable of providing a reasonable solution despite the obvious failure on the company’s part. The staff were rude, dismissive, and showed little concern for the inconvenience they caused. Instead of helping a customer dealing with a breakdown, they created additional problems and wasted even more of my time. If this is how they treat customers when their own vehicle fails, I can only imagine how they handle other issues. Between the poorly maintained vehicles, incompetent management, misleading customer service, and lack of accountability, I would strongly advise anyone considering renting from this company to look elsewhere. There are many rental companies that value their customers and maintain their vehicles properly—this is clearly not one of them.
