Woke up today, 5-8, got in my car & noticed the passenger side low beam was not working. Heading to Mendards, stopped into Belle to see if they changed headlights. Jim Hatfield, 1st Assistant Manager, said yes. Great. Gave Jim my contact info. & told him I was going to Menards. He would call me with the price. He called at 11:55am with a price of $55. I accepted & continued shopping at Menards. I got to Belle at 12:22pm. Jim said it would be a few more minutes. I sat outside & waited. I have no problem waiting, it was something that needed to be done. I was a beautiful sunny day. To note, I had a bag from Mendards & wanted to put it in my trunk but my car was already in a bay with the hood up @12:22pm. So I waited outside. While waiting on the bench outside, Jim walked past me 3x, I guess to take care of business for other customers. I didn’t interrupt him, he never said anything to me. 3x!!!!! It is now 1pm, my car is still in the bay with the hood up. So I went inside to check on timing. Jim is working with a customer that lived in FP, looking for a tire or tire replacement. Didn’t really pay much attention to their conversation but it went on for 10 minutes. I guess Jim was giving him good customer service. But at 1:10pm, and with nothing to indicate Jim was wrapping up the conversation with this FP customer, another assoc. was walking by & I told that assoc. (tall dark hair young man) I needed my key & needed to leave. It is now 1:10pm. To add, as I was waiting in line for Jim inside as he was talking to the FP customer, there were 2 assoc. in the shop area. One on his phone, the other just walking around. And at that point, I knew he didn’t have the bulb & was probably waiting on it from another Belle or auto supply shop. (Yeah right - please continue to read on.) At that point, Jim interrupted & told me they pulled the light out already. It wasn’t until that moment, @ 1:10pm, after waiting 38 minutes outside, seeing him walk past me 3x, & then waiting inside, in line, another 10 minutes, that he told me that they don’t have a replacement. That the box was empty & he never contacted another Belle or a supplier for a replacement. That LDP let me sit there for 48 minutes knowing he didn’t have a bulb & did nothing!!!!!! I sat there for 48 minutes, like a fool! That Jim Hatfield, the 1st. asst. manger, thought so little of me to just let me sit there.
Knowing the place has cameras & there are employees & customers in the waiting area, I took his business card & told him to put my light back. That’s all I ever said. I’m not a Karen. I don’t need to be aggressive, loud, vulgar or disrespectful. I never raised my voice. I wanted my car & to leave. I waited for them to put my bulb back & left the parking lot at 1:15pm.
It’s all on their internal cameras. So they can’t say I was loud, vulgar, disrespectful, aggressive as an excuse for their piss poor service!
