  Reserved a car to be picked up at 8am. Got a call at 8:01 that someone would be 30 mins late. Showed up at 8:30 and there was no car available. Was told a car was being delivered from another store and would be in by noon. Called at noon - no car and was told I would get a call in an hour. Hour later - no call. I go to the store and still no car.

  Booked a car rental and got confirmation, only to arrive and there be no cars available. We were dropped off at this location so had no way of getting anywhere else. They didn’t help us one bit to figure out transportation.

  This place deserves 0 stars - and that's being generous. Despite the numerous warnings I received about this location, I had no choice but to rent from them on two different occasions. Unfortunately, both were awful. The first time, they gave me a vehicle that made it no less than FIVE MILES down the road before it lost power steering and the check engine light came on. When I called they said they were sorry but they were closing for the evening and it was too late to do anything. Luckily, a very nice employee offered to stay late and come pick me up, but the courtesy did not make up for the issue. Second time, I made a reservation for a 12 PM pick-up. I tried calling around 11 AM to ask if I could come early and no one picked up the phone for what felt like an hour. I waited until noon and showed up and there was only one employee helping someone else claiming they had no vehicles available. I figured they did not have a reservation and figured since I had one, I was okay. While I was waiting another woman came in behind me and said this was her THIRD time coming in trying to get a car for a reservation. The EXTREMELY RUDE employee, claimed despite all the reservations, they had no vehicles available. The entire lot needed oil changes and they wouldn't have vehicles until 5 PM but couldn't even guarantee. It is now 8 PM and I still do not have a vehicle. I then asked if they could drop one off to my location in town from another location and got "we are understaffed" so there was zero effort to make things right. I am now stuck in a town 6 hours from home for work without a way to get anywhere since Enterprise is the only location in Mattoon. This place is a huge disappointment and if you can avoid renting from here, please do.
