  I had a great experience with Libertyville Auto Plaza! They helped me purchase my 2023 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport, and I absolutely love my new car. The entire process was smooth, and the team was helpful, patient, and made sure I was comfortable with my purchase. Buying a car can definitely be stressful, but they made the experience much easier and made sure I drove away happy. I really appreciate everyone who helped me throughout the process. I would definitely recommend Libertyville Auto Plaza to anyone looking for a new vehicle. Thank you for helping me get the car I really wanted!

  I strongly recommend that customers verify the work performed on their vehicles after having them serviced at Liberty Volkswagen, including something as basic as checking the oil after an oil change. I purchased and serviced my 2024 Volkswagen Jetta through Volkswagen because I believed using an authorized dealership was the best way to properly maintain the vehicle and have a reliable service history. Unfortunately, my experience with Liberty Volkswagen has completely changed that. After one of my service visits, I had concerns regarding the condition of the oil. I documented the issue with photos and video and brought it to the dealership’s attention. A dealership employee also acknowledged the issue when I raised my concerns. After that experience, I no longer felt comfortable simply assuming that everything listed on a service visit had been performed or checked properly. I later experienced premature rear brake wear on the same 2024 Jetta. I raised my concerns with the dealership and ultimately escalated the matter to Volkswagen Customer CARE. Volkswagen reviewed my case through multiple representatives and ultimately informed me in writing that they would provide no further assistance and that their “position remains unchanged.” I will now pay for the brake repair myself. The cost of the repair is honestly not the biggest issue for me. The biggest issue is the loss of trust. When I take my vehicle to an authorized Volkswagen dealership, I expect the maintenance performed on the vehicle to be reliable, properly documented, and any developing problems to be identified and communicated to me. Based on my experience, my advice to other customers is simple: document your vehicle before and after service, check your oil yourself after an oil change, ask for actual brake-pad measurements and inspection results, keep your service records, and verify the work performed. I maintained my Jetta through the Volkswagen dealer because I thought doing so would give me greater confidence in the care of my vehicle. Unfortunately, after my experiences with Liberty Volkswagen and the subsequent response from Volkswagen Customer CARE, I no longer have that confidence.

  Best experience I've ever had buying a car, and I highly recommend Liberty VW. No pushy sales staff, just a smooth, streamlined, no B.S. process. Our salesman Lucas is so knowledgeable and helpful, a true professional and equally as friendly. The finance manager was also a pleasure to deal with. We got a great price, and I love my new Jetta.

  Great service, fast and efficient. I usually go to the Gurnee location but they are horrible now and take all day just for an oil change. Everytime I leave there I have to give them a bad review and have a horrible experience so its only right to give Libertyville location their praises. Will not waste my time at the Gurnee location again.
