I had a fantastic experience here! This was the 2nd mechanic I went to and they were able to correctly diagnose and fix my car problems. Peter, the mechanic, was very helpful and kept me updated to date while my car was there. Shannon and Colleen were able to assist with a loaner vehicle in the meantime. Very pleased with my experience. Thank you so much!
Adrienne was prompt, professional, charming, and provided timely and accurate information about my vehicle and the service being provided. I found my experience at Fields to be exceptional and exactly what I would hope to receive each and every time I bring my Cherokee in for service. Everyone was very nice, very helpful, and very genuine. Nice work to one and all. Thank you very much.

Took my Jeep Cherokee in to Fields CDJR in Glenview because the battery died — got that swapped out, and they also checked my A/C refrigerant while they were at it (all good there). Peter was my service advisor and took care of everything. Super professional, knew his stuff, and genuinely seemed to care about getting it right. Definitely ask for him if you’re heading in for service!
I have a VERY BAD and scary experience overall unfortunately. I brought my jeep cherokee in for an oil change and they assured that as part of the service that the whole car would be inspected, all fluids would be topped off, and any errors would be addressed. My car comes out, am told the differential needs work but otherwise it’s perfect, I pay, and get in. Immediately the brake feels very weird, no resistance, and the dashboard is displaying a new BRAKE alert. I rolled forward and realized that I’m having trouble braking. I also realize that the car hasn’t been fully screwed back together. I come back into the service center and they assured me everything passed but after insisting that this is not normal, they took it back to finish the service and check the brakes. I learned that they had sent out to drive away on a 40 mph street with a CATASTROPHIC FAILURE of the brakes!!! I would have died or killed someone since I was not able to stop at all. Manager told me corporate instructs them not to check the brakes unless a tire rotation is completed; however, they should’ve noticed the new dashboard alert and fluid leaking!! They claimed it could’ve happened at any time and that they are not at fault, yet they approved and checked off the car as SAFE! After a lot of back and forth they agreed to repair the brake line and refill the brake fluid at their own cost. I was extremely nervous still accepting the repair given the experience but Shannon, the manager, personally guaranteed that she checked out everything on the car. She did send me a generic email requesting feedback on my experience - while my car was still with fields in the shop and still being repaired. I hope that everything was correctly and comprehensively evaluated and repaired as needed. Kicker, I took it to another mechanic and they said the differential is perfect and there is absolutely no oil leaking. He claimed they were trying to upcharge a service on me. I am very grateful that it was caught and that Fields took it seriously and addressed it; however, we should’ve never been this position in the first place. Other than this, the staff is extremely friendly and the waiting area is great with free soft drinks, water and chips. I’ve been here numerous times with no major issues but this time they presented themselves as either understaffed, cutting corners or simply not caring.

Just wanted to take a moment to should out Rob with Fields Jeep. I went into this with hesitation and knew I wasn’t ready to deal that day. Rob still gave me the same level of care and someone buying that day, and allowed me to follow my own timeframe and process. He listened to my must have items and my nice to haves and helped me with
pros and cons, and when I did decide on the car he was transparent, honest, and flexible to work on my timeframe. I felt valued as a client and knew I was working with a good human and that is the most important thing in my book. Thanks Rob and Fields for a great experience.
