  I bought the car here and they have been working on it ever since. Generally always happy with service. This time my car was deemed too low to do the alignment. Which is fine. I have another shop that will do it. $80 for wipers seems a bit excessive. Plus $140 for an oil change. Sadly I forgot to get the coupons. Just a heads up. Everyone is professional and everything is relatively clean. Seats inside dealership are peeling and they look unprofessional so that could use a redo. Otherwise no one pressures you if you look at a vehicle while waiting. It’s nice. Solid experience. Just expensive.

  I don’t usually write reviews but here’s my 100% honest unbiased review. I came to Elgin VW to shop around for a VW Atlas since they have the best deals going on in the area.The sales rep Adnan was very welcoming and professional.After seeing the different types of Atlas I was able to choose the one that best suits my needs with the extensive knowledge and experience from Adnan’s advise. We test drove the car. I have driven a ton of cars in my life. I just loved the way the quality and comfort and way it drove. We sat down with my wife and kids to look into the numbers. Adnan and his store manager were able to get me an awesome deal I couldn’t not turn down. I walked away with the same car I test drove. The representative working at this dealership treat you like Family. They stood back after hours to make sure my paperwork went through. They went above and beyond every single way possible. The car was in immaculate condition when I received. Fully detailed with only 9 miles. I’d recommend anyone who’s looking got a great detail with exceptional service.

  My self and my Dad who is in his 80s always service out VW here in Elgin. As we sometimes get different service managers Erv always treats us very well, always with a smile and great attitude, makes us feel welcome. The whole staff really is great, my Dad really likes coming in as they communicate well what his car may need or take care of any issues right away. Never had any issues with setting up appointments and the turnaround is fast, efficient and on point. Big thank you to the whole team.

  I had a fantastic but challenging experience purchasing my used vehicle at Elgin Volkswagen. I walked in with a strict budget, and my specific demands made negotiating a fair price difficult. The sales team, especially Al Abuhamda, was incredibly patient and didn't resort to high-pressure tactics. After several days of back-and-forth, we were able to reach an agreement. While I was stretched slightly beyond my initial target, the dealership offered exceptional value on my trade-in and found a financing rate that made the monthly payment work. If you are negotiating a tough deal, I highly recommend visiting Elgin Volkswagen for their transparency and willingness to make a deal happen.

  I had been car shopping for about a month and visited countless dealerships before stopping at Volkswagen of Elgin. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I had. Our salesperson was not very knowledgeable about the vehicles we were interested in. For example, we were told that all Volkswagen Tiguan models come with AWD, which simply isn’t true. We also test drove multiple vehicles that had obvious issues, including one with a check engine light and another with a steering wheel that shook while driving. When we brought up these concerns, they were dismissed rather than acknowledged. When it came time to discuss pricing, the dealership was unwilling to negotiate despite the condition of the vehicles. Instead of addressing our concerns, we were made to feel like we were the problem. Both the salesperson and the manager talked down to us and suggested we should be looking at more affordable cars. The manager came across as cold and unfriendly, and the entire conversation left us feeling judged rather than valued as potential customers. We ended up walking out and went to Volkswagen of Chicago instead. There, we found a beautiful 2024 Tiguan SE R-Line that was Volkswagen Certified Pre-Owned, in excellent condition, and priced lower than the comparable vehicles we had looked at in Elgin. The staff in Chicago were knowledgeable, respectful, and genuinely worked with us to find a price that fit our budget. The difference between the two dealerships was night and day. I would not recommend Volkswagen of Elgin based on my experience. If you’re shopping for a Volkswagen, I would strongly suggest taking your business elsewhere.
