  My wife and I had such an amazing experience at Elgin Volkswagen, especially with our sales consultant, Omar Munoz. We actually walked into the dealership with no intention of purchasing a Volkswagen, but Omar completely changed that. From the moment he greeted us, he was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and never once made us feel pressured. He took the time to listen to what we wanted, answered all of our questions, and genuinely worked to make everything come together for us. What started as simply looking turned into us driving home in a new Volkswagen, and that says a lot about the experience Omar gave us! Buying a car can sometimes be stressful, but Omar made the entire process enjoyable, comfortable, and exciting. We felt like he truly cared about earning our business rather than just making a sale. He went above and beyond and made things happen for us. If you’re shopping for a vehicle at Elgin Volkswagen, ask for Omar Munoz.   If you’re in the market for a vehicle come here! My sales consultant Moe Khattab was absolutely amazing and as professional as they come! The experience and customer base assistance can’t go unnoticed or not bragged about. The respect shown to my family and I was absolute! The experience as a whole was comforting and rewarding as we drove off the lot in our new Atlas! Clean through and through! A true family experience! Thank you to Moe and your team!

  I have a 2024 VW Tiguan and I love the car, however when visiting the dealership in Elgin I showed them an issue with the face plate by the shifter. It originally appeared to look like there was a plastic cover over it, but as my investigation continued it was actually the face plate pealing. My last visit where I showed the service manager and his associate (few weeks ago) was very displeasing as the associate told me he has never seen it before we and then dismissed me. After the car was done with the oil change, I again asked the associate about it and he said that the warranty would not cover it and that I would have to pay $417 to get it replaced, I question if he even saw the warranty and what it covers. I explained to him that it was a lease and I should have the interior protection on it. He tried to walk away and I asked again. He then told the service manager and he took a picture of it. He asked it I put any chemical on it and I said I use the McGuire interior cleaner/polish and Windex. He stated he would send it to VW. Today 8/20/26 at 2:15pm I get a text from the service department saying that the issue is not covered by the warranty. What am I supposed to do now? This is insane and frankly unprofessional in every aspect of customer service. I am not wanting to deal with the dealership. Sales was awesome, service is horrible and frankly all need to find new jobs as this is not the field they need to be in.

  I recently brought my 2018 Volkswagen Passat in for repairs, and I had an outstanding experience working with Erv Janicki. From the very beginning, Erv was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. One of the things I appreciated most was his willingness to work directly with my extended warranty provider to ensure that my repairs were covered. He took the time to handle the details, making the process much smoother and less stressful for me. Erv also kept me informed every step of the way with regular updates on the status of my vehicle, which I greatly appreciated. The entire service team deserves recognition. From the service advisors to the technicians, everyone was courteous, professional, and clearly committed to providing excellent customer service. Their expertise and attention to detail gave me confidence that my vehicle was in good hands. I have purchased two Volkswagen Tiguan vehicles from this dealership, and I continue to be impressed by the level of service I receive. The staff is knowledgeable, experienced, and genuinely cares about their customers. It is clear that they know what they are doing and take pride in their work. I highly recommend Erv Janicki and the entire team to anyone looking for a trustworthy dealership and exceptional service experience. Thank you for providing such outstanding customer care!
