You pay extra for the warranty and when you try to get it warrantied they will give you the run around. Speaking from personal experience at this store. Please save ur money and get interstate batteries instead. The staff there needs training in customer service. Will never set foot in another Advanced auto parts.
- ATAndy TretowAug 6, 20241.0I recently came in to get my battery replaced. The staff was very friendly, but they installed my battery incorrectly. I noticed my BRAND NEW battery dying constantly, so naturally, I thought it was the alternator. I brought it to my mechanic. After opening the hood, he noticed installation error. One of the connectors came off with the flick of a finger. This small fix cost me 80 bucks for something that should’ve been done properly the first time. If you are going to get a new battery for your car, take it to your local mechanic to do the install properly. Free installation is great in theory, but only when done correctly.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
