They double charged me for tolls, even after I emailed them and they confirmed they wouldn't keep the double charge. Don't go here, listen to others like I should have who say it's not worth it.
Edited to add: they absolutely did NOT fix this issue. They ignored my emails, and I had to call, and they STILL want to charge me for the tolls I already paid the state for. And for the record, they way overcharged in comparison with state requirements. Though it was hard to hear them because they were having a loud office party?? During work hours?? I IMPLORE you to consider going with ANY other car rental company than Sux, especially if they are already a big name with a better representation! Learn from my mistakes!!

I had an excellent experience with SIXT in Chicago thanks to an outstanding employee named Christina. Although I did not have a credit card with me because the reservation had been made by my husband, Christina remained patient, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She took the time to explain different options and worked hard to make sure I was able to secure the rental car without any stress.
What impressed me even more was her kindness and dedication. I was unfamiliar with how to operate the vehicle, and even after she had already clocked out for the day, she stayed to show me everything I needed to know and made sure I felt comfortable and confident before driving to my destination.
In addition, Christina kindly showed me the closest gas station where I could refill the car before returning it at 5:00 a.m., which was extremely helpful and thoughtful.
Christina truly went above and beyond my expectations. Excellent customer service like hers deserves recognition and appreciation. I sincerely hope SIXT values employees like Christina because she made my experience exceptional.

I recently rented a vehicle from SIXT and unfortunately had a very concerning experience after returning the car. The day after drop-off, I was contacted regarding alleged damage to the vehicle that I did not cause. There was no walk around inspection conducted with me at the time of pickup or return, which is a major failure in their process and leaves customers unprotected.
Since then, I have repeatedly requested time stamped photos, inspection records, and documentation proving when and how this alleged damage occurred. As of now, those requests have not been properly addressed or provided.
After doing additional research, I was disappointed to see many other customers reporting very similar experiences involving damage claims made after vehicle returns. Because of the lack of proof and the handling of this situation, I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
I hope SIXT resolves this matter professionally and improves its inspection process moving forward so other customers do not experience the same issue.

I want to take the time to give Angela, the SIXT representative whom we spoke with when we arrived in Chicago on Thursday, April 23 2026, an excellent customer service review. We were travelling from Washington, and our flight was 2 hours long with a cranky 16-month-old. After landing, taxiing, disembarking, walking to the baggage claim, and then to the tram, we encountered passengers who were discourteous to my wife and me. However, once we got off the tram and walked to the SIXT desk, Angela was there with a smile on her face. It turned out to be a huge relief because Angela was courteous to us as she checked us in, made us laugh, and gave us an upgrade. All of this was such a relief, and I distinctly remember feeling carefully attended to. I had forgotten the slightly difficult journey. Thank you so much, Angela! She deserves a raise if she hasn't received one. I will definitely book with SIXT again because of Angela!

I had an excellent experience with Sixt from start to finish. From the moment I picked up my vehicle to the time I dropped it off, everything was smooth, professional, and well-organized.
What really stood out to me was the consistency in customer service. The representative who helped me at pickup was friendly, efficient, and made the process easy. Then, at drop-off, I was assisted by a completely different employee who was just as professional and helpful. That kind of consistency says a lot about the company as a whole.
It’s not easy to find a rental company that delivers great service from beginning to end, but Sixt definitely does. I would absolutely recommend them and will be renting from them again in the future.
