Absolute garbage. Deserves zero stars. (My rental Agreement #9612236816)
Bait-and-switched me on a BMW X3 online booking, trying to push a pricey upgrade to an 8 Series.
Left me with a Volvo XC90 that had a completely broken AC. Had to drive two hours in 80-degree heat while my phone repeatedly overheated and I was drenched in sweat.
Customer service did absolutely nothing but offer empty apologies. Avoid this joke of a company.

At the beginning of my June 20-28 Chicago trip I was greeted by Dayo and Juan at the key pickup window. My plane was an hour late and these two gentlemen had me upgraded and on my way in 3min. I regularly visit multiple Sixt locations such as San Diego, Seattle and DFW to name a few. Chicago has always had the best customer service and best overall experience, and it starts with agents like Dayo and Juan.
My plane was 30min late (I did have my flight number added), well within the hour limit of holding my vehicle but it wasn't available. These two gentlemen didn't make excuses, they just fixed the problem using the resources available in record time. This should be the industry standard and Dayo and Juan should be mentors to others.

I rented a car from Sixt O’Hare a few weeks ago, and I have to say that the customer service was incredible. I’ve never experienced such great customer service from a rental car company before. Specifically, Juan (I think that was his name) check me in to receive my car and when I returned my car, he was also there to receive it. He was extremely kind, professional, and provided excellent customer service. I rented a Chevrolet equinox, and it ran very smoothly. Very impressed with the fleet of cars there. Overall, an excellent experience.

I had an excellent experience with SIXT, and a big part of that was thanks to Lea. From the moment I arrived, she was friendly, professional, and genuinely went out of her way to make the entire process smooth and stress-free. She answered all of my questions, made sure I had everything I needed, and provided outstanding customer service. Employees like Lea are the reason customers come back. Thank you, Lea, for making my experience such a positive one I truly appreciate your help and highly recommend SIXT because of the exceptional service I received.

Juan at the O’Hare location made this one of the best rental experiences I’ve had. He was incredibly helpful, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure I had a great experience from start to finish. What really stood out to me was that I also witnessed him helping another customer with the same level of patience, kindness, and attention. It wasn’t just great customer service directed at me—that’s clearly who he is.
Employees like Juan are becoming harder to find these days. He made the entire experience feel personal instead of transactional, and that’s exactly what customers remember and appreciate. SIXT is lucky to have someone who truly cares about the people he serves. Give Juan a raise! He absolutely deserves the recognition.
