  I have to leave a 5-star review for this place. I called them in a bit of a bind after another large chain mechanic shop quoted me $1800 for an oil leak & transmission leak for my 2017 Honda Sedan Accord. I called this place & got an affordable diagnostic & they fixed my leak & valve gasket for a much, much more affordable & reasonable price. Everyone was pleasant, kind, resourceful, & helpful. They were very professional & I really appreciate the work that was done before getting on a long road trip to Philly. If I lived in Chicago, this would definitely be my go-to shop hands down.

  This shop came recommended by a mechanic friend as I was facing some serious brake issues. I was very impressed with the work by this group. Reasonably priced and with excellent communication, I was in and out in less than a full business day with new pads, rotors and calipers. Josh was particularly patient in answering all of my questions and made clear that they were only doing work that was necessary. I just took my car on a 4 hour drive with no issues whatsoever. I’ll be going here for my auto consultations moving forward when I’m in Chicago

  Took my lexus in because of a check engine light, Josh the manager on duty was very educated and well connected when it comes to cars and diagnosis. He gave me a quote for the repair and stuck to it, gave me a timeline and it was done on time. No BS just straight honest opinions and quality work. Now a week and a half after the repair was done and the check engine never came back. He requested a couple of other repairs from what they saw when they were working on my car so needless to say I will be back to get my car worked on by these guys. Stop looking for another shop and give these guys your time and money they are worth it 100% you wont find another place like this.

  I’ve used San Jose Auto Repair for several years. They have always accomplished successful repairs for my toyota prius where other mechanics failed and at an excellent price. Very happy with the quality of their work and their enthusiasm in helping their customers. They are the best auto repair places I’ve worked with, bar none. Alex

  Immaculate service always. I tasked Tomi and Josh with finding out the source of a stubborn rattle in the rear of my vehicle and it took some tries to get it resolved but they eventually completed the job flawlessly. They cut me an amazing deal on my control arm and brake replacement and replaced my rear struts at no extra charge since they were under warranty. I’ve been visiting San Jose Automotive for all car service related tasks for the last two years and I’m delighted to say they are all deserving for success to come there way as a local automotive shop. Don’t hesitate to stop by them and get quoted on an upcoming repair, you will be taken care of.
