  The car itself had some issues; however, the staff was responsive and did their best to make the situation right. I appreciated their efforts, honesty, and desire to help.

  Never, ever use National or Alamo. I left a review two days ago and they removed it. Tried to call and could not get through. The lady at the desk refused to let us have our rental even though it was already paid for and we could show her the itinerary. She then started verbally abusing my girlfriend and I, calling us (and my girlfriend's mother) some extremely nasty words I can not type here. We have this all recorded. She then told us she would call the police if we stayed so we left just before midnight, into the streets of Chicago near Midway. We are not from here. My girlfriend was traumatized by the experience. We have tried to call and the system keeps hanging up on us. We are retaining a lawyer, since there has been no contact back about this incident. Try Turo. They are a great service and way less expensive. They also won't scream swears at you or your girlfriend's mother. I had to switch to 2 stars because they are hiding this.

  The worst experience. The lady at the desk called my girlfriend a b and her "mama a b" among other choice words. Then she denied us our rental we already paid for and kicked us out into the night just before midnight by Midway in Chicago. We have the whole thing recorded. We are not from there and were scared to death. My girlfriend was traumatized. We are retaining legal help. Never rent from National or Midway airport. Update: Retained one, and this will be dealt with. All we wanted was for them to deal with employee, but with no contact back whatsoever, this is our recourse. Had a similar experience there? Record it and do the same.

  Very smooth pickup and return at MDW, but I reserved an "Elite" SUV and was willing to pay the premium price. I was expecting a BMW, Audi, or Cadillac, but was given a small Acura ADX -- a glorified Honda. I was disappointed.

  Another great experience with National. The professional friendly service was helpful as it was my first time at this location. As an executive member, I didn't have a lot of vehicle choices upon my arrival, but the vehicle I picked was clean and ready to go. The staff were also incredibly helpful with information to help me navigate the tolls and highways. Much appreciated and highly recommended.
