  I am very disappointed. First, they give you one price, but then when it comes time to pay, it’s a different amount. It’s not like other places where they tell you the cost of the oil and the total upfront; here, it’s very different. What I didn't like is that they quote one price at the start and then charge another—the price ended up being $160 just for an oil change.

  Are they trying to scam their customers or just incompetent? This question continues to haunt me after my recent oil change at Jiffy Lube. I would encourage anyone to go to a different location or, ideally, a different chain altogether. I was quoted 100 for an oil chance when I arrived which is a lot but I agreed to it. Inside the pay area, they told me it was 150 as they had added the more expensive oil. I told them they quoted me 100 and I didn't want the expensive oil. It was fixed in the pay system. Ten minutes later, they pull my car around and tell me it will be 150 because they had already put the expensive oil in the car and that they said they initially quoted me 150. They did not. I immediately texted the 100 dollar quote to my partner upon receiving it so I know that was not what I was quoted because the two of us would not have consented to that price. They eventually backed down and lowered the price to the 100 I had agreed to which I appreciated. If that's where the story had ended, I wouldn't be leaving a review. But of course, then the real frustrations began. Once I drove away from the lot, I noticed something was wrong. My AC was no longer blowing cold air but now just hot air. I immediately turned back around because my air was working fine when I arrived fifteen minutes earlier. There's a heat advisory in the city right now and I wouldn't feel safe driving without AC. The technicians took a look at it. I heard one say it was curious the AC wasn't working because they didn't even take the air filters out of my car (meaning the dirty air filters they showed me to try and upsell me on replacing them only 10 minutes earlier weren't my filters). One technician turned on the car and tried telling me it was working when it was still blowing hot air. Eventually, they took it over to take a serious look at. The only saving grace of this experience is that they did not charge me for taking a look at the part they had broken. They were able to fix the AC. One technician told me it was because they had "pressed a button." The only thing he could be talking about from what I understand is flipping a fuse switch. He said it must've happened accidentally when they did the inspection on my car during the oil change—something I never wanted in the first place. I genuinely am baffled how or why they would've done this. While I'm grateful that they "repressed the button" for me, I am astonished at the negligence this shows happens during their free inspections. Based on other poor reviews of this specific Jiffy Lube, I am concerned their free inspection may have other issues that will cause future problems for my car. I thankfully have a mechanic I trust on speed dial and I am going to be asking him if he will do my oil changes in the future. Save yourself a headache. DO NOT GO TO THIS JIFFY LUBE.

  I always go to check my tire pressure despite being able to do it myself because each time I've gone for other things, the staff is always super attentive and works together to execute the task faster.
