After many hours of delays resulted in a cancelled flight, I headed over to the Enterprise rental counter. The manager working, Rhi, was FANTASTIC! She was super understanding of my situation, provided me some honest information about misinformation provided by the phone agent I had previously spoken with, and made a miracle happen. As I stood at the counter waiting for things to get sorted out, I was impressed by the positive attitudes of each person working. It was the end of a very long day for them (over 500 cancelled flights) yet each of them seemed genuinely excited to be at work. Based on this experience, I’d go out of my way to rent from the O’Hare rental team again.

I was impressed the moment I walked up to the Enterprise counter at ORD Airport. I’m originally from St. Louis but have lived in Southern California for the past 15 years, and during that time I have mostly rented from Hertz because I appreciate the professionalism, vehicle quality, and my President’s Circle loyalty benefits.
This weekend, however, I was unable to get the car I needed from Hertz at this location, so I reluctantly decided to give Enterprise another chance after about 15 years. My past experiences had not been great, but wow—what a difference this rental made.
Every person I came in contact with was terrific. The gentleman at the counter was kind, considerate, and helpful. The team member who met me outside was friendly, funny, and made great conversation while I waited for my vehicle.
Thank you, Enterprise! This weekend confirmed that everyone deserves a second chance—even car rental companies. You definitely earned mine.

Enterprise came through in a pinch! It was down to the wire as my flight was delayed to Chicago, Illinois. We came in late, like everything was about to close late, which was not a big deal but it is when you reserved a car from a place called, Routes, months in advance only to find out that they didn’t have any cars left. We found out by the shuttle driver who was supposed to take us. We then went back inside the airport to see if anyone was working for ANY rental car company. Enterprise people were there to help! Yes, it was more expensive than what our initial rental was but what do you expect at the last minute? Let’s just say Enterprise saved the day! Thank you

Booked a flight/rented a car through Expedia (Chicago/ORD airport). Had good prior experience with Enterprise and, although a little bit more expensive comparing to other offers (for couple of days, about 20$extra), decided to remain with them/went with Enterprise again
From the airport terminal, was really easy to get to the rental-car building (took the free airport train to the rental car stop and then followed the signs for Enterprise). Here, would pay attention to signs and directions where to go since there are few floors and multiple other companies offering rentals (Chicago ORD airport)
Once we found the Enterprise office, had to wait a little bit in line (about 10-15 minutes). Was found almost instantly in their system (again, booked the flight and rental through Expedia) and, once went through the options in regards to filling the gas tank at return, insurance, etc., I was told to go outside, just in front of the office where another person would take us to the car.
Within less than a minute, another person came, went briefly through the personal details (name, DOB, etc.) and then she took us to a particular aisle. She mentioned that there might not be the exact same car/model that I booked online (I wanted a small, family car and nothing fancy). She stopped at a Nissan (I think it was a Versa), and asked if this could work for us. Once we said yes, she had to go over few other things on her tablet and, once almost ready to leave, she told us to look around, take pictures and to let her know if there was anything that she should be aware.
Car was pretty new (only had about 13.000 miles) and otherwise, looked well maintained. Gas tank was full and inside, everything was clean and in good shape.
We used the car for couple of days, returned it with the full tank few days later and used the same building where we picked it up (need to follow the signs for the rental car building and, again, had to pay attention to see the sings for Enterprise).
The return process was pretty simple also and straight forward: prior to coming to the airport, filled the gas tank and follow signs for car rental. Had to pay attention to signes for Enterprise and, once got in line, at the drop off end, a person with a tablet came by (I was still behind the wheel). He scaned the car QR code, looked at the gas tank to be sure it was full and had a brief walk around the car. He mentioned that everything looked good, to leave the car keys inside the car and we could go to the terminal.
Overall, a very good experience and, since I had other prior rentals with them, will definitively continue to choose Enterprise. I know there are many reviews and opinions about car rentals but, from personal experience, I had absolutely no issues with them. However, as a customer, you have to do your homework, and have to pay attention when you are picking the car. Look around and inside the car; TAKE pictures if you see something wrong/unusual and talk to a representative from Enteprise; I do believe this is just common sense and, at least from my experience, I had no issues with them. One of the previous rentals, the car had a scratch in the back; took pictures, spoke with a representative and, when I returned it, I again told them about it. Since it was mentioned initially/when I picked the car, no further emails, phone calls or issues were seen.

Rented a car there for a few days to drive to northern Indiana. Overall, I was pleased with the experience. My flight arrived very late at night, and I still barely had to wait for a car. The Hyundai Sonata hybrid they gave me was quite acceptable and I had no issues with it. All the people I dealt with were very friendly and professional. The only issues I had were:
1. It's somewhat longer of a walk from the O'Hare tram to the pick-up lot. For an average person it's fine, but I had my elderly mother with me, and it was somewhat taxing for her. Be aware of that if you have mobility issues.
2. I paid for the toll inclusive package, knowing I would be driving on toll roads, but had to pay for the tolls anyway. I'm not sure where the disconnect was, but it was inconvenient. However, when I told them this at the car return, they apologized and refunded me enough to make up for the tolls I paid. So, although it was a problem, they do care enough about it to try to make it good. I suspect they will figure out what went wrong and correct it. Nobody's perfect, but I appreciate companies that realize that and do what they can to fix problems.
Even with those qualifications, I would still recommend Enterprise. Especially for the price, I was more than satisfied with the experience.
