  I have been going to this CarX location for nearly 10 years. I used to work across the street and came because it was convenient. Now I live almost an hour away but have always returned for my oil changes because Joe’s customer service has always been amazing and they have done a great job. Today I came in for my routine service and met a new manager, Eric. I let him know that I was interested in their “Road Ready Package” and asked if he could check if they had wipers for my car (which come with the package) because they were out the last time I came. He confirmed that they were still out. I asked if he would adjust the price since they were unavailable and that’s what they did last time. He said “no”, and I said “ok, no problem”. I still needed the other things included with the package anyway. I let him know that I would be back in about two hours. They weren’t busy so he said they should be done by then. When I returned he let me know that they just realized that my car takes European coolant and they have to order it, it may take about an hour to get delivered. Then he ordered it as I stood there. I let him know that it’s frustrating that coolant is being ordered two hours after I dropped off my car because I had a time commitment. His response “do you want to tell me how to do my job?” At that point I asked if the coolant had already been removed from my car because I realized it may be best to just pay for my service and leave. He said it had, so essentially I was stuck. I let him know that I had been coming to this location for many years due to the customer service and before I could even finish my sentence he was literally yelling at me. He said that he didn’t care how far I came. I told him that I was communicating my concern without raising my voice and he was yelling. He continued to yell and talk over me. As I write this review, stuck in the reception area with this aggressive, unkind, and unprofessional man, my hands are literally shaking. I have never had a bad experience here. I have spent countless dollars at this business and developed friendships with the staff that was here before. Unfortunately, I will have to take by business elsewhere. There is no way that Eric should have a customer facing job when he is clearly incapable of treating your patrons with kindness and respect.

  Needed a run flat tire repaired. Called around to a few shops ahead of time because most shops won’t repair a run flat. Confirmed the address with the person I spoke to on the phone, then spoke to the service specialist at the location who said to bring it on by. When I arrived the manager told me they don’t repair run flats at this location and had no idea how I got that impression. I told him a spoke to someone here he then told me it wasn’t him and he had no idea what o was talking about. Very bizarre

  Sitting here on what was supposed to be the start of a weekend with my family that has turned into cancelled plans and extreme frustration. I set up an oil change appointment for today, Friday September 18th at 3PM. I arrived at 2:50 and the person behind the counter told me they couldn’t get to me until at least 4PM. I said ok that’s fine-I’ll leave my keys and go run errands. I called at 5 after not hearing back from them and decided to take the bus to go see if my car was ready. If it wasn’t, I was going to say that’s fine I need my keys because I was going to drive to my hometown (3 hours away) since I have family plans. To my surprise, the door was locked at 6PM. No warning, no email, no communication. Again, their Friday hours are that they close at 7PM. I called the CarX hotline and the district manager can’t help me because he’s in Indiana. I had to call my family nearly in tears and cancel valuable time with them because I cannot get to them unless I rent a car which I don’t even know if I can at this hour. I’m so incredibly frustrated. If an emergency happened, I will delete this review as I understand sometimes really unexpected things happen, however, communication is key and I received none. Update: Called Saturday morning to ensure they were open. They were and sounded confused that I tried coming by yesterday at 6PM, stating they closed early due to staffing issues. I asked why this wasn’t communicated nor were their hours updated to reflect this and they just said sorry we didn’t think it would be a big deal. What a terrible response. Never returning.

  Told him I needed an oil change for a friend’s car. He quoted $130. I said that seemed high. He claimed this particular vehicle requires 8 quarts. I told him it only needs 6. He “looked it up” and admitted, “Oh, you’re right, it only needs 6 quarts… but the price is still the same.” Not sure how the price stays identical whether it’s 6 or 8 quarts, but basically he lied. He told me it would take 30 minutes so I left and came back 45 minutes later and it still wasn’t done. I asked if it will be done soon and he said, no we are waiting on a filter to be delivered. I asked how long that will take and he said maybe 30 minutes. I asked, I thought the entire change would only be 30 minutes and he replied, well that’s if we have the parts. It takes longer if we need them delivered. Definitely not a very trustworthy place to go to.
