This location was particularly unhelpful, but not all this location’s fault. I rented from a location near Chicago, but a tire had a slow leak, about 2psi/day. I wanted to exchange. Enterprise Roadside service sent me to the Prospect location. The manager, Fernando, tried to call while I was driving, which I did not see. Fernando told me he didn’t have a vehicle (though there were cars but were waiting for pick up by customers). He told me I could take the car to a tire vendor and they’d pay for it. So Enterprise won’t trade cars and repair their own car. The renter has to spend their time maintaining Enterprise cars. Plus I was in a time crunch, trying to not drive through a severe thunderstorm (the day before I experienced 2 tornado warning where the sky was quite green). I contacted Costco, and best Costco could do was to get the original Enterprise to do a swap up by Chicago. In the end, Fernando put air in the tire, and I drove off. But according to the car, he brought the pressure up to 30psi, when it should be 33psi. I drove back and asked him for 3psi more. Fernando then filled it to 36psi, which rose to 37psi after I drove a little bit.
Overall, Fernando’s tone to me was straightforward and at times condescending. I don’t know how much power location has, this one was particularly unhelpful, unbending, and at times condescending. My father-in-law, who my husband and I were visiting, is now very wary of Enterprise, since they don’t maintain their cars and won’t help a customer that is in a time crunch (delay your travels, oh well, sucks for you). Ugh . Enterprise.
Update: 1.5 to 2 hours later tire is now at 34psi, down from 37psi
