- AGAlex Guban1 day ago1.0Worst Mechanic Experience of my life. ridiculous unaffordable cost, issuing an ultimatum giving me less than a day to decide if I want service or charge a daily fee to store my car on the lot. Customer service was horrible too. The guy could not adequately explain what was broken with my resonator and catalytic converter or how my drive shaft broke. The pictures of the inspection were horribly low quality and difficult to tell what was wrong in them. The guy refused to actually show me in person without charging me the full $3k for all the repairs. They would not allow customer sourced parts. They tried to upsell me on $8.9k of repairs and car maintenance that my car didn’t need at that moment. I will never be a customer of this company for as long as I can and will tell the people at work who reccomended it to me and my whole company to avoid doing business here if at all possible.

Then I told him my name and asked him to look again, he then admitted he knew I had an 8AM appointment but didn’t schedule any mechanics to be there until 9AM. Attributing it to ‘common trends’…told me I could wait until 9 or reschedule. I left and had to find another place to go. I had a nail in my tire and I had other things to do that morning, hence why I scheduled it at 8. I scrambled to find a different shop to squeeze me in, Norris Tire & Auto Center was extremely accommodating and got me in right away. Moral of the story, booking an appointment with Car-X apparently doesn’t matter. The guy didn’t even seem sorry about it. Go to Norris instead, just my suggestion.
