  Extremely disappointing experience at the Enterprise location in Algonquin. I reserved a vehicle in advance, but the location did not have the vehicle available when I arrived. Justin, who identified himself as the manager, requested a month’s worth of pay stubs. I spent approximately 20 minutes logging into my employer’s portal and downloading a pay stub. After I showed it to him, he said it was unacceptable because it did not display my address—even though he had not previously stated that requirement and direct-deposit pay stubs do not always include an address. Justin then requested two utility bills after initially telling me that I needed only one. Most customers do not carry pay stubs and multiple utility bills with them. The requirements should have been clearly explained beforehand, not changed after I complied with each request. Justin’s manner was rude and dismissive. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, he stated that he was the only manager available. I ultimately had to contact Enterprise corporate headquarters to report the experience. A customer who reserves a vehicle in advance should either receive the reserved vehicle or be notified beforehand that it is unavailable. Documentation requirements should also be disclosed clearly and applied consistently. This experience wasted my time, left me without the vehicle I booked, and reflected very poorly on the management of this location.

  I was very disappointed in today’s experience. I reserved a car 2 months ago. I think I got 5 messages about my reservation and it was good for me to pick up at 11:30. When I got there the guy said there was no car for us. So of course I was upset and ask how does this happen. He said no returns came back. We asked what can he do to help us. He said go to the airport to rent one. I got mad the he wouldn’t even help in this situation. Customer service horrible. Some words were exchanged and he proceeded to call my boyfriend a name. So unprofessional. We had to call Avis to see it they could help us. So much by experience. I will never rent a car from enterprise again. So sad employees don’t even care that they could just ruin your vacation. But if I needed this for an emergency no compassion for customers. Please train your employees better this could really ruin your business.
