I went in TODAY for what should have been one of the simplest and most routine services an automotive shop performs—an oil change and tire rotation. Somehow, I left with more concerns about my vehicle than I had when I arrived. The appointment actually started positively. The technician brought out my dirty air filters to show me their condition, which I appreciated, and I agreed to purchase new ones. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. The technician proceeded to grab my brand-new WHITE air filters with visibly oil-covered hands. I could literally watch the clean filters turn black everywhere his fingers touched them as he installed them. I had just paid for CLEAN filters, yet they were being installed with oil and grime transferred directly from his hands. I was frustrated, but decided not to make a big deal about it. Then came problem #2. After the oil change and tire rotation were finished, I was about to leave when I decided to check whether my wheel lock tool had been returned to my vehicle. It hadn't. The technician still had it and had forgotten to put it back. Thankfully, I checked before leaving. Otherwise, I could have discovered it missing the next time I needed a wheel removed. I live approximately AN HOUR AWAY, so correcting something like that would mean a two-hour round trip because someone simply forgot to return equipment that belongs with my vehicle. At this point I had experienced two completely preventable mistakes during a basic oil change and tire rotation. Unfortunately, I hadn't discovered the most serious one yet. I drove nearly the entire hour home. As I reached my home exit, I suddenly heard a HORRIBLE scraping sound underneath my car. I immediately pulled over. The protective guard underneath my oil filter area was HANGING DOWN AND DRAGGING ON THE ROAD. By the time I discovered it, the guard had already been bent backward from scraping against the pavement. I tried to secure it enough to safely make it home, and while doing so, the LAST CLIP holding it in place fell out. So after paying for a routine oil change and tire rotation, I ended up pulled over on the side of the road dealing with a damaged, detached protective panel underneath my vehicle. Now the area underneath my vehicle is exposed to dirt, rocks, gravel, water, and road debris until this is properly repaired. I live in a rural area and sometimes HAVE to travel on gravel roads, making this even more concerning. And this is what bothers me most: This wasn't one mistake. It was a series of completely preventable mistakes during ONE basic service appointment. A new air filter shouldn't be handled with oil-covered hands. A customer's wheel lock shouldn't be forgotten. And a protective panel removed or accessed during an oil change should absolutely be properly secured before handing the vehicle back to the customer. Any one of these things by itself could potentially be written off as a mistake. All three happening during the SAME appointment raises serious concerns about attention to detail and quality control. I called immediately after discovering the guard hanging underneath my car. After explaining everything, I was essentially told to drive the hour back and they would "see what they could do about it." I was then told to call back Monday when the manager is working. That response didn't exactly give me confidence that this was being taken seriously. I'm starting a new job and attending training, so finding several hours during the coming week to make a TWO-HOUR round trip to correct problems caused by a service I already paid to have performed correctly isn't easy. More importantly, after discovering that something underneath my vehicle wasn't properly secured, I'm now left wondering: What else should I be checking? Were everything else that was removed or touched during the oil change properly reinstalled and tightened? Were my wheels properly torqued after the tire rotation? Should I now have another shop inspect the work just so I can have confidence that my vehicle is safe to drive?

Extremely disappointed with the lack of honesty and transparency at this shop. They initially provided a quote without performing a thorough inspection. Only after they had my vehicle in the shop did they call to claim there was an additional issue. They alleged it was "already broken" but that they somehow "couldn't see it" during the initial check, conveniently tacking another amount to the bill. To make matters worse, the technician explicitly told me the vehicle was "unsafe to drive" until this new part arrived. However, the moment I called them out on forcing me to pay for an oversight they completely missed, the technician and the manager instantly changed their tune. They told me, "If you don't want to pay for the part, you can just take your car." It is deeply alarming that a shop would use a severe safety warning as a high-pressure sales tactic, only to immediately retract it and tell a customer to drive an "unsafe" vehicle away the second they get pushed on their numbers. When I came to pick up my vehicle, the dishonesty continued. They claimed to provide a "discount," but a quick look at the math revealed they had simply inflated the base price of an item to make the final total look like a favor on paper. They knew exactly what they were doing. This shop proved themselves to be completely untrustworthy. If you value honesty, clear communication, and straightforward pricing, look elsewhere.
