  The front desk folks at both the Johnston, IA and Euclid location in Des Moines were friendly, helpful, and professional. An error was made when I checked out and the receiving location cleared it up without costing me any fees. I appreciated not having to argue or stress.

  Forced to pay over $1000 for damage I did not cause to their rental!! I had this rental through StateFarm because their client hit my car. I then used my insurance for the car instead of paying the daily Enterprise fee for theirs. Barely drove it because I was just in an accident and did not feel safe in a rental. Returned it and received a call that "the clips on the left side of the bumper were broken". I informed them I didn't do anything to which they said "maybe it was a hit and run". I asked if there were any dents or signs it had been hit? to which they said "No." So how/when did this happen and why am I responsible? They told me it would had been covered if I got the enterprise insurance, and now needed mine to charge me. When I asked how much the cost would be, the worked guessed "maybe $200? probably not more than $1000". Well it's more than that! I asked if they could send me before photos to see if there were signs of damage before, but they said they don't take pictures when they rent it out. So it falls on the customer. When I called to ask about all the fees, I was told I had to call corporate or I could google what it means. I called corporate to explain the bill and I have to pay 1) the damage 2) the cost to recalibrate to car and make sure its safe to drive 3) admin fees and 4) loss of Enterprise rental ability for that car. Tried explaining my situation again and they said there's nothing they can do. I feel like I'm being used to cover the maintenance cost of their dingy car.

  Enterprise makes it hard to rent a car, I had cash and my debit card (debit card was declined because it was considered a reloadable card, it's my pay card), they don't take cash, which is a huge "what ?" moment. My friend came and used his credit card to pay 773.00 for a week in a Mitsubishi mirage, 300 of that was not disclosed on the web site. The car is crap, it pulls to the right and runs really rough. Pretty sure when I take it back this crap company will try to add extra charges. Enterprise in Johnston Iowa, do not rent from them, everyone who works there does not care and obviously the company doesn't either, I will NOT pay for additional charges due to the fact enterprise should have checked the car before they released it to rent.

  I recommend enterprise car rental on Merle hay road. They were quick and easy
