- SCSteven Iowa CitySep 20, 20231.0My car looked like it had been run through a car wash instead of being detailed. The chrome strips weren't done and there was dirt obvious on every side of the car. The inside/engine did look nice but I did pay for exterior detailing as well. There is a super strong chemical smell inside the car. UPDATE: Four days after the detail my car STILL has a strong, horrible chemical smell....like either bleach or chlorine from a swimming pool. My eyes water and I get a headache from driving in it. I tried to find articles online how to get bad smells out of a car so I just sprayed the entire car with a vinegar/water mix and have set it outside. Hopefully this will get rid of it because I feel it is unhealthy to be in it with those strong chemical smells. I will never go there again. Be careful.
