  Went in for oil change and transmission fluid change, and they always do it right! Everyone there is super nice, caring and knowledgeable. This place is and will be the place I go to for car maintenance and service. Thank you Big A for being an excellent place.

  Was driving into to town from Des Moines area with family for a weekend of hiking and other activities in area, when we noticed a loud thumping noise in rear end. Stopped at a first auto service shop we saw (chain of locations) after 90min they couldnt figure it out even when I told them a few things I thought it was. Effort was suspect at best. I didn't even see them check tires or anything. With family stressed out, couldnt find any car rentals either, we checked into hotel to chill. Woke up next day and started researching some good repair shops close by and came across BIG A. I called as soon as they opened, got an appointment right away, which saved me from alot of stress and car rental costs. Within 30min they found that both rear tires were coming loose. I had new tires put on a month ago and apparently not torqued properly. The crew seemed like a good bunch of guys. Thank you to Gene (technician) and Lyle (service advisor) for saving my families 4 day weekend of fun!

  Courteous and prompt professional service. Josh, and everyone else were friendly and accommodating. I'm not from Dubuque as I had come into town to purchase a used vehicle from a dealership in town there. I was looking into having an independent shop inspect the vehicle before deciding on whether to go through acquiring. I live a little over 3 hours away. They toughed it out through many dropped calls as I was trying to see if they could provide this service for me on short notice. Not only were were they able to squeeze me in for an inspection, they gave me an accurate and telling inspection of my prospective vehicle. After their inspection, I decided to go ahead with the purchase of the vehicle. A week later (as I couldn't get back down till then) I arranged an appointment with them to service the vehicle I had just finished up purchasing. Again, they were prompt, transparent, accommodating, and professional. They sured up my new (to me) vehicle and got me on the road promptly. I highly recommend Big A's. I'm extremely grateful to them for their courteous services. Thank you!
