  All these rental outfits are crooks. We rented a car out of PIE/Clearwater Airport. First had to deal with the pushy agent trying to sell me on their outrageous gas prices. Over $6 a gallon. Don't ever pre-pay for gas. Just fill up before you return the car. If you do the pre-pay, and let's say the car holds 15 gallons, they will charge you 15 X $6 = $90. You bring the car back half full, you paid $90 for a half tank of gas. Problem number two, the agent tried to push their outlandish insurance on me. I already have car insurance that will cover me in a rental. Check with your agent. Problem number three, they charged me a toll fee when I paid all tolls using cash. $1.16 plus $4.95 for handling. I am going to contest this charge with my credit card company. I will never rent from National again.
