  My sister recently took her vehicle to brakes plus for an A/C inspection due to the A/C not working. Brakes Plus "Inspected" the A/C system and noted that the "A/C compressor is leaking VERY badly" and needed to be replaced. They wanted to charge $1120.99 for the compressor, $42.00 for R134A refrigerent, $540.00 for labor, and $99.98 in labor for the A/C system recharge for a whopping total of $1,802.97. I told her to hold off as you can find compressors online for around $200-500. I was going to replace the compressor myself but as I removed the undercarriage splash shield and a small air deflector shield above the radiator, I found the compressor WASNT leaking at all... Instead the A/C suction and liquid line assembly was literally dripping with refrigerant and dye as well as noticed some small amount of damage to the A/C condenser that could be causing a leak on the condenser as well. Now lets stop and think... Did brakes plus really even take the time to properly inspect the system and verify the location of leaks? Apparently not if they thought a bone dry A/C compressor was causing the A/C to discharge in under 1 day. Lets also think about the $1,800 they wanted that wouldnt have even solved anything. Not sure about you folks, but I sure wouldnt trust a shop who doesnt even seem to properly inspect and verify concerns let alone want to charge $1,800 to "fix" a non exsistent issue.

  I’m so grateful for Dan and the Brakes Plus crew. This location is family oriented, detailed and friendly. They got me in and out fast! I have always went to Jiffy but thanks to Dan and the crew this Brakes Plus location is now my new go to! Thank y'all so much!

  Dropped off the truck at around 11 am. I had to call and check if it was done at 4 pm. Hadn't gotten to it yet. Waited until 5:15 pm, no call. Went to check on it. Hadn't even moved from the parking spot. 6 hours and no phone call? Totally unacceptable. I understand if you're busy, but call and let someone know that you're not going to get to it!

  I went in for a alignment check because my car was swerving when I hit a bump or go around a curve I was told my tie rods were bad even though I just had them done in October they said that was the problem and I needed a oil change I was told if I get the safety concern fixed the oil change would be done free I paid to get them fixed and picked the car up was told the oil change wasn’t done I left drove and the same problem was happening I took it back and now they say they think it’s caused because either I need my tires balanced or the rear control arm links are wore out and needed new ones so what was the point in not fixing that the first time or even having knowledge of the problem the first time I took it in long story short over charged for service and car still has same problem I paid to get fixed and wasn’t a business of their word cause my oil still needs to be changed your choice my opinion is I won’t ever go to another brakes plus

  I got on line and scheduled a front end alignment using their open schedule. I showed up on time for appointment. Checked in fine. Guy said it would be awhile as they had a vehicle on the machine. I left at 9 am and returned at 11:37. I walked in and sat down. No one acknowledged me so I waited 15 more minutes. Approached the counter and the manager asked what I needed. Said I wanted to check on the status of my truck. He went into the shop. Three guys had a pow wow as I watched one of them take my keys and hit the door alarm so he could locate my truck. He walked over to start it as another person came to me saying he didn't know how the additional cars got in front of me for service but they would start on it now. No. I will take it elsewhere. He offered me a $20 discount for my 2 hours and 45 minutes of wasted time. I told them that people can tolerate a lot when you communicate with them what's going on. But to be without any conversation for almost 3 hours and then learn they had forgotten about me!!! Regardless of if you do business with them, I will not. This is poor management and poor customer service. It's your money, spend it elsewhere where they will communicate and do proper by you. While sitting in the store we overheard the manager coaching an employee on how to upsell and how to close deals. May I suggest you start with the basics of service before you worry about plus selling!
