  Anytime I come here the experience is fantastic! This time I came in, simply needing an oil change and Julie, Jackson, and Jim all made it an extremely easy and pleasant experience. Even though they had a large amount of vehicles ahead of me, they managed to get my truck in very fast and did a far better job than Valvoline ever has!

  Jim and his team were amazing. They treated me with respect and didn't talk down to me as a woman. I don't pretend to know a lot about cars but I'm also not an idiot. I asked for their oil change plus service but told them I didn't need the tire rotation portion of the service because the tires were only a few hours old and had been aligned. At the end of the service they asked where I had purchased my tires and said I needed to go back there because the alignment was off. They told me exactly what I needed to say to the tire shop and that if the tire shop wasn't helpful they would be happy to help get me taken care of so my new tires would last. (Fortunately the tire shop took care of the issue for me and admitted that the alignment was off.) I appreciate the professionalism and courteous manner in how I was treated as well as other customers who came into the shop. They also provided some recommendations to customers they were unable to help. The waiting room was simple but clean and had tables and chairs making it easy to get some work done as I waited. I also felt like they wanted to do a thorough job, not just get me in and out fast. I would definitely recommend Brakes Plus if you're looking for a shop in Ankeny and you need a service they do. They took great care of me and my Civic. Thank you to Jim and your Saturday crew!

  In the past my experience with Brakes Plus has been nothing but stellar. This time not so much. I don't like the fact that you told me you rotated my tires and I was told my tires got rotated unfortunately for Brakes Plus I have two different types of tires on the front and the back and they were not rotated.... I paid the extra so the tires would be rotated and it was included.... just goes to show ladies and gentlemen pay attention... ever since the old manager left or transferred or wherever he went customer service went right out the window. Luckily for me ( and I'm sure you will agree)... and I'm also sure their CEO will not agree. If you don't like it go somewhere else, there's plenty of other places for me to spend my money

  I was so afraid of getting my brakes replaced because of the cost and feeling like who can I trust?..but my front brakes were scraping and unsafe...I made an appointment at Brakes Plus on Oralabor in Ankeny, Iowa because the cost looked reasonable for brake pads, well after getting my brakes inspected Kelsey Heath showed me the repairs that needed to be made, all 4 brake pads, rotors needed resurfaced or replaced and a few other things. I was about to have a panic attack thinking it would be well over $1000 to get my brakes safe again. I asked how much this would be, Kelsey asked what Im looking to spend..she did her best to keep it within my spending limits!!! Im so blessed and thankful I went there, I will be back. Their oil change prices are good i noticed, when im due that is where im going!!! Thanks to you Kelsey Heath and your whole crew at Brakes Plus you ROCK!!!

  Not coming back. Came by after work and dropped off my subaru around 2. Went back over to work to wait as lobby was full. Came back 1.5hrs later and they hadnt touched it, said itd be another hour. Went back to work, for an hour, came back and it was on a lift while the tech and everybody else with a car on a lift were joking around and vaping out back or on a computer near the lobby. At 530 asked for my keys back bc im not waiting anymore. General manager gives em to me and claims it took long bc they were looking for a gasket for my rear differential bc it was leaking badly "and those silicone gaskets dont last very long". Well i knew it was BS bc i did the rear diff service on my car last and it was about 5k miles ago and shows on carfax. The "leak" in question was on the back half were its very rusty and was the overflow fluid from said service that was baked into the rust. I get im a walk in and mine will take a tad bit longer but dont be lying to customers and making stuff up. Didnt even get me a price quote on the suspension components that are very clearly going bad as i pulled it into my works shop this morning and saw bushings dry rotted and busted on both sides of the front end. These guys know about as much as a toddler does about cars. Dont go here.
