  ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful Local Staff, But Be Aware of Unexpected Billing Charges I recently had a car rental experience at Sixt's Kauai Lihue Airport location, and I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to Michelle and manager Kalea — both were incredibly helpful, attentive, and professional throughout my entire experience. They truly made a difference and I am very grateful for their assistance. That said, I want to flag a billing issue that other customers should be aware of: a "Prepaid Difference" fee was added to my final bill that was never part of my original agreement. This charge appeared without any prior notice or explanation, and had I not carefully reviewed my receipt, I would have paid significantly more than what I originally agreed to. To this day, I still do not fully understand where this fee came from or why it was applied. Thankfully, Michelle and Kalea stepped in and worked hard to help resolve the issue. Without their intervention, this billing error would have gone unaddressed entirely. I hope Sixt corporate takes this feedback seriously and works to improve its billing transparency so that customers are not caught off guard by unexpected charges. The local team at Lihue deserves five stars — the billing system does not.

  The process using Sixt was the easiest have ever had. Started with booking and had the best deal. Then shuttle pick up was a breeze and quick and driver was so friendly. Check in was the easiest and quickest I have ever had. MICHELLE was fantastic. She was kind friendly informative and went above and beyond to make our rental experience a great one. It was so quick as well. Because of her I will be coming back to Sixt in my future rentals. Best car rental experience and great cars!

  My wife and I had such a great experience at this rental location, especially thanks to Tabitha. From the beginning, she was incredibly kind, welcoming, and full of positive energy. She even took the time to suggest some great places to visit on Kauai, which we really appreciated and added a personal touch to our trip. Later, someone hit our rental car, and we came back feeling stressed and unsure what to do. Tabitha was extremely patient, professional, and helpful. She explained everything clearly, helped us through the process, and quickly arranged a replacement car for us. Her kindness, energy, and calm attitude made a big difference. We truly appreciate her help and would definitely recommend this location because of the excellent customer service.

  Edit: the gentleman I was working with was able to take my information and fix the issue, getting me a refund for the amount I was charged. Because of this I have changed my review. Don’t rent from them. When we returned our vehicle they mentioned a scratch and wrote it down on the return form as preexisting and we went on our way. We did not cause the scratch but we don’t have video evidence as the parking lot was dark and unlit upon pickup. We were then sent a bill for $1700 for the scratch that was marked as preexisting. I was contacted by someone supposedly In management about the negative feedback score I gave but he was only concerned about my low score I gave them and didn’t actually help fix the scam claim I had to pay for that we did not cause. Beware!!!

  Amy was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. She was incredibly kind, professional, and accommodating, and she worked out an amazing deal for us that exceeded all our expectations. Her customer service was truly exceptional, and she treated us with genuine care and warmth. It's rare to come across someone so dedicated to helping customers and making sure they leave happy. Thank you, Amy, for turning what could have been a stressful situation into such a positive experience.
